I am looking to replace the fog lights in my m35 to a "cool" white color (6000k - 10,000 k in color) Anyone know what bulb # i should buy from V-leds? or where i could buy these bulbs?

why dont you just spend a $100 for some HID fogs like i did instead of spending 60-70 bux for some LED bulbs that wont be near as bright and will look only half as cool??

I agree with fiveliterbeater. I to tried to replace the stock foglight bulbs in my M35 with what they said was just the same as HID but it was a halogen bulb and I was unhappy. It still had that yellow tint to it and was not nearly as bright as I wanted. So, I wasted the money on the halogen bulbs when I should have just bought the HID kit. I went and bought the HID kit and what a difference. If you want the true HID look and brightness dont waste your time on the halogen bulbs. HID is the way to go.

Any pictures of how the HID lights fit in the bumper? Also, a link to the lights would be appreciated.

I just looked for bolts alongside of the fenderwell that didn't serve a major purpose and bolted the amplifiers up to that.

Nice! I need to stop buying stuff. lol. My next project is to try and install the factory dvd player in my M. My car didn't come with the factory nav which I have already added, so I bought the DVD player and I'm hoping it is pre-wired. I'll be finding that out this weekend. If that is successful, I may get the HID fog lights

Fiveliterbeater,

Was it easy for you to access the foglight? Any special tricks? Are your ballasts holding up? Any concerns about frying the wiring on the M?

Thanks!

well to get to my fogs it was hard to access them from uptop, so i just unbolted the black plastic piece that lines the bottom of the car. that made the process a HECK of a lot easier.

ballasts are are still in place and everything is cool so far. i was thinking of changing the bulbs to yellow but, cool white is ok for now.

Did you take the whole bottom off, or did you take just the left and right pieces (looks like 3 bolts hold them together) and then there is another piece with like 6 bolts in the middle? Did you take the whole thing out?

I really want to install these. I cant stand the low output and color of the stock fogs.

If anyone has install pictures, I would love to see. WIth my luck I would break something and then half to pay twice as much for repair.

I have yellow fogs and am satisfied with it.

Looks really nice!

Do you have a pic of how it looks during the day when it's off? In order to put it in, did you have to remove the whole fender protector, or just the front part? Where did you mount the ballast?

I removed the front tires and then the wheel liner. After that, just find a hole not really used for any purpose in the frame and screw the ballast mount to that.

Were the wheel liners easy to remove and put back together?

It's quite simple to remove the liner. Just a matter of clips you undo with a flathead screwdriver. For me, once I jacked up the car and removed the tires, the hard part was done. The main thing is to examine how the liner/protector sits before removing it so once you put it back, you won't fumble with "does this go under or over that" sorta thing.

My headlights are 6000k. For whatever reason, the picture looks more blue than it actually is IMO.

How'd you do it without removing the wheels?

The OEMs are 4300k I believe. I blew a bulb so I decided to buy a pair of 6000k bulbs to see what it would look like. I liked the results and haven't looked back since.

You can access your fogs by removing the cover beneath your engine bay on each side. Either way is fine, whichever works for you.

Please forgive the ignorance again, but how do you remove those engine covers? And is there enough space to reach a hand down to the fog lights?
