infiniti engine lose power/hesitation>>does not start

I finally gave in and took it to a Nissan dealership and they told me that I have a bad fuel pump. I'm not too familiar with replacing a fuel pump on the j30. Does anyone of you know whether the fuel pump is a submersible pump? How hard/easy would it be to change out the fuel pump? I'd rather do the repair myself if I could.

Look at the fuel tank diagram. Should take 1-4 hours to do depending on your skills/speed

And clean the tank while you have it all apart for a long lasting repair.
