the mazda 6 too maybe? actualy any company will try to put sport on any car they make if they can get away with it. It just sounds better.

4-door sports cars: Lexus IS300, Infiniti G35, BMW 3 series, Subaru WRX, Mitsu LanEvo. Any FWD sedan falls more under the economy category to me.

Wings, please add the M5(a gentleman's sports car if there ever was one), and the Audi S4, 6, and 8 to your list.

Ref unreliable... Heat is the enemy to the rotary. The TII had more problems than the 13b N/A. But no where near the problems the 13b-REW had.

I have heard that they are gonna come out with a turbo model tot he RX-8 next year. They supposidly changed the port locations or something that is making them better on boost. (Don't know if that is true, just a rumor I heard.)

My friend is getting ready to put in a new engine in his 2nd gen. Lost a rotor last week. And the rear end. And something just happened to the transmission. He has now blown up two of them and wrapped one around a tree. He still swears by them.

I agree. the last RX-7s were way nicer. I'd still take a 350z over either of them though.

id still take the 3rd gen rx7s over the rx8. 4 door , flashy interior i dont think so. its too much of a chic car than a sports car. only think better is the engine which is now more reliable with better gas mileage and fewer mechanical defaults.

My bad. I guess my mind was on Japanese imports with the exception of the immensely popular 3 series.

Are they seriously planning on remaking the RX-7? Cuz that would be the sickness. Mazda is probably just hinting at it and considering it.

Hmm, I think it's safe to say that the "RX" are considered the flagship for mazda performance. If the rumors are true and toyota brings back a wicked stupid powerful Supra, then Mazda will hopefully follow suit(we have subaru/mitsubishi battle to thank for this, IMO). I've only caught rumors about a new RX-7, but isn't it safe to say that most people consider the 7 more performance oriented compared to the huge media push about four doors and back seats on the medium powered(relatively) RX-8 ??

I would take either one. Wouldn't pay for them.
