1. im planing to make it all wheel drive by getting a front clip now i cant really find out if the skyline has a defined frame (uni-body or full) im would think of it being a full frame but i could be wrong...
2. also what skylines were all wheel cause i have read some can be rear only by chance and i would like to know for sure
but hear me out i picked this car up for 400 bucks and its solid with a 6 cyl in it and a 350 small block is just over played so i though to change things up by going all wheel and placeing a RB in it.
any in put would be great.
Better idea how about this:
Around 12k for a crate, 10k for the block, and around 15-16k for the turnkey, 720 HP & &&5 FT.lbs. torque, or so I can find on the net, I'll check for the actual crank numbers when I get to work Wednesday since we have two a crate and a turnkey. ofcourse you'll need to buy a transmission probably a 12 bolt rear diff out of a 70 chevelle or 1st gen Camaro (i believe the second gen had a 10 bolt correct me if I'm wrong) and definitely reinforce the frame but then again wouldn't you already have to do that with the RB- skyline swap anyways?
Either that or wait for the LS9 to come out as a crateengine after the ZR1 comes out next year, but GM's been pretty much pushing the potental of the 6.3 L's forced induction with that engine.
please the RB may be Nissan's cult engine, but there is better things you could put in it, also several people have pointed out the 454 and 502, both which have been built into truck engines and can be rebuilt anyways.
Just because it would be "unique" doesn't mean it'll be a good choice, but it's your choice, if you want to go RB w/ AWD conversion, then go for it. but only if you do have the experiance, I don't want another late 2nd gen to be killed, the 79-81 are my favorite years for the camaro.
I wish you the best of luck.
