There is NO comparing it to Mcdonalds or Burger King. It is so far above either of them, it's in a different class all together. My favorite is 3x3 animal style, or, if I'm REALLY hungry, a 4x4 animal style :ylsuper

I'm comparing it to Wendy's, not BK or McD's... This is a completely different ballgame here..

Looking for a smaller hamburger with big bacon cheeseburger taste? Try the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger on our Super Value Menu™. Made fresh, right when you order it with hot ’n juicy® beef, American cheese and two full strips of hickory smoked bacon. It’s guaranteed to satisfy. [/quote]Now who can argue with that?! AND ITS 99 CENTS!

People barely eat at Wendy's here in the Bay Area. My friends say they're nasty everytime I suggest eating over there. I'm not sure why. In N Out seems to be the favorite around here. I'm getting sick of their food though, but I could never get enough of their fresh baked fries.

There's a Dell Taco down the street from me here, in GA. Never eaten there though.

Sonic is my absolute favorite, with Wendy's being 2nd. Wendy's just plain rocks for the price :)

In-N-Out is good precisely because they're smaller. They're family owned and operated, not franchised, so that's why they're slow to spread. The only way I can say it is you know how burgers in fastfood commercials look nothing like they do in real life? i.e squashed bun, small patties etc.? Well, In-N-Out burgers actually look like their ads. Buns are nice and firm, lettuce and tomatoes are fresh, meat is REAL and nice sized. Stacked so tall your mouth can barely fit...

:jawdrop:

Is it as big as a "gourmet" restaurant burger? No... but the quality is just as good.

For its price, it blows any 99 cent fastfood burger out of the water.

This is coming from someone who loves 99 cent menus... McDonalds, Wendy's, Jack in the Box... You name it.

In-N-Out rules!* :ylsuper

*I am NOT a freak. I don't work for In-N-Out. I just eat out WAY too much...

Man, I love In-N-Out! But I'll be honest to say I've never heard of their "Secret Menu". Can you just ask for more patties/cheese (that 4x4 thingy etc.) or do they have other stuff? Other than the typical "hold the catsup" stuff.

For now, it's all about the double-double... :rockon

they do have other stuff like animal style, protein style, animal fries, grilled cheese, but it's all burgers. no secret chicken nuggets or anything.

Interesting. There are a few In n Outs in my area that have a driver thru on both sides of the building and the passenger has to carry out the transaction. I suppose youmay have to drive backwards through it if you are alone and on the wrong side...

ok, jackthread..oor maybe i should make a new 1...

i tried the philly cheesesteak meal @ MCD's today <just to see how it was> & it was horrible... they cooked it till the steak was like chipped beef, no grilled onions w/ it & a slither o' cheez....

agh, talked w/ the manager & they gave me another meal <chicken sammich one instead> & fed the yucky steak to my dog. so gotz me 2 fries n 2 sprites outta the deal.

Anyways, any philly people tried that slop & can u remind me if pat's or geno's was the better cheesesteak?

Pats Vs. Genos, you have to pick your allegiance. Dave Attell went to one of them on Insomniac, I think it wsa Geno's.

Fresh Grilled Burgers made to order that cost <$2.00

You can order ANY size you want: 2x2 = 2 patties, 2 slices of cheese... 5x5 = 5 patties and 5 slices of cheese!

My friends and I decided to keep upping the ante and seeing who could have the biggest in-n-out burger. I started w/ a 4X4, my friends had some, and the last one I had was an 11X11. My friend had a 13X13, fries and a shake. It's so awesome when you order one like that, it's like you're a celebrity. Everyone watches you eat it. Oh, and to everyone here that hasn't had InNOut, if you ever come to California, make sure you try it. They make the most amazing food. The reason the quality is maintained is because it's not franchised, it's privately owned. Plus they pay their employees a few dollars an hour over minumum wage, and I've seen 20 people working in a single restaurant.

In n Out is very California. And moreso in Southern California. when we were planning the 2002 240sx Convention out here, we were going to try and have a In n Out trailer show to provide lunch, but they had too many liability insurance requirements and was just not very cost effective at all. The farthest east I've seen In n Out is Las Vegas. If you get out to Vegas, I'd recommend trying it. And this years 240sx convention is in Vegas. =)

Where in Las Vegas? I've been to SEMA a couple times and never saw one of these "In & Out" places.

Right next to the freeway. The sign is HUGE. It's on the opposite side of the freeway from the strip. I'm thinking it may be on Tropicana or Flamingo. I'm not entirely sure though. But it is there.

ahh..the one by the freeway is the one on Sahara. I don't go off the strip too far, so I have no idea where the other ones are. I know I've been on Industrial, but don't recall seeing an In n Out.
