the problem with not using the SAFC 2 is that is still goes back to this zerothread?id=337791DrifterProdigy85 wrote:Dont use the SAFC. Its worthless on the SR engine. Reason being your tuning the fuel curve by adjusting the MAF Voltage. Problem with this, the Ignition Map also runs off the MAF Voltage. You may be getting a good AFR, but it doesnt do a bit of good if your advancing your timing to the point that you can potentially blow the engine. Sell It and go ECU Tune.
been there done that...brand new plugs...used carb cleaner to look for leaks while the car is running...took off ever boot and visually inspect it for holes and leaks after checking with carb cleaner...checked the maf...(not the voltage) but made sure the plug was clean the senor wasnt broken...took the whole intake side off...re copper the gasket...checked with carb cleaner every hose...checked the coil packs took off the SAFC 2...replaced the BOV....the only thing i havent done....which im going to do today and i hope it i find the problem is pressure test each piece of my piping for a posible crack...which i sprayed all of it with carb cleaner to look for anything obivious but found nothing....so now its this....and if this doesnt work...well bobs my uncle im lost....lolcodyace wrote:check vacuum leakspipe connectionstimingplug gap
