nope its here, i was just having too much fun :P

Where I got it from - Osaka JDMPrice - 1250 CAD, shipped Condition - semi.

The coil cover was missing (they are shipping another) and the inside of the truck was wet, so there was quite alot of water around the coils, i vaccuumed it out with a shopvac, then i put some oil in the cylinders to prevent rust. the harness was cut (where there website says uncut, but i have the screenshot saying its uncut) im sending pictures and he said the new harness will be here shortly. Otherwise im happy. the cams are insanley clean, the turbo has NO shaft play, its got good compression, clutch is worn, but no hotspots ect, it came with a turbo dump pipe ect

how the hell do i get the turbo off without getting the manifold off, lol i cant get the last 2 turbo bolts out. k enough rambling, on with the pics!

Eww... an osaka motor? No offense man, but that motor looks to be in pain. The head is going to have to come off to get those spark plus wells/threads cleaned up. Also, can I buy your HICAS power steering pump off of you?

the threads are good, there was some water in there, and plugs were what rusted, i vaccuumed the water out, but its getting a head job anyway,

the motor is hella clean tho, that would have to be the worst part.

as for the ps pump, where are you located?

Dam, whats up with the wiring being cut? And having water on the engine, especially in the spark plug holes just shows how they take care of there engines. But hopefully everything will be okay. As for the turbo. It would be easier just taking off the exhaust manifold. Keep us posted as we like updates with pictures!

I've heard some pretty bad things about Osaka........maybe you'll be one of the lucky few though. Good luck with it, and keep us updated

water ontop of a ca is SO common. When motors are packed into a container, they spill all over each other, just because someone hit your engine with a steam cleaner before you got it, does not mean it is any different.

I might be able to repair that harness if you are tossing it.

LMK, i know ca harnesses are harder and harder to come by.

Didn't see water on top of engines that Ive checked. And Ive seen about 30 engines so far. Some from Venus, acutech, and some random shops. Just because you think its common to have water. Doesnt mean it is.

i very well may be tossing it, i will be getting a new one from them, since the ca wiring is the same as the SR harness?

I may try to fix it with the KA harness if i have any problems getting a CA harness.

anyway more pics

You said you're going to pull the head too?

I would inspect every single part on that engine down to a T. Osaka is about the shadiest of the shady businesses out there, and they are relentless in random ripoffs. Hopefully they do send you a new harness and other parts you're missing.

And just to chip in on the vote, my engine set didn't come with water in/on it either.

i have checked the bottom end and its tight, the cams are good, the compression is in the 170's across all 4.

ill probably do the head this winter

the motor is honestly uber clean, and i bet that most ppl whos motor didnt have water came with the plastic spark plug cover, mine didnt, and it is on its way (along with a new harness)

that motors pretty rusted man. surface rust at least. i would never deal with osaka. i went through a company called STi. motor came clean and dry and didnt need rebuilt as it only had 40k miles on it.

and after i put the manifold on and wiped it down. no other cleaning was done

its good your rebuilding then i guess. good luck with it. your going to be happy either way.
