Mechanical perfection (for the price).

I already have two other cars which I consider near mechanical perfection. I want something in that theme but lightweight and a gas saver. Something that's not V8/turbocharged and not necessarily produce gobs of power and torque, but it has to be economical.

That's why I always say no to engine swap in the S14 because if I want 405 hp/400lb-ft (stock), mid 12s 1/4 mile (stock), 1.0+g lateral, adrenaline+testosterone-oozing monster that rides on 315/30/18 PZero Corsa on all 4, I already got one and it's going to take a lot more money for the S14 just to equal the performance.

There where two factors, the first one being my two year old Audi Quattro sedan was a piece of crap constantly at the dealer and I was looking to replace it, secondly I really wanted a Jaguar but not all the maintenance and reliability issues associated with it so I got the next best thing, a J30t-the "Japanese Jaguar", besides in comparison testing the J30 was outperforming the XJ6.

i had alwaysed loved the skyline even as a none car enthusiast...more just from the mystical "i play top gear and its the best car in the game" way of knowing. then once i got my licence and started driving, i picked up a issue of Import Tuner and on the cover was a S14.5...the silvias were prity new to the US public then i think. for those that know its the issue with a Blue S14.5 and Cherri Roberts first 2NR apperance. When i learned that the 240, more so the silvias were the little sister to the Skyline it sealed my love for nissan. then my aunt married a guy with a Z so that helped too

I have always like the styling of the 90-96 300Z. I seen my first one that I can remember when I was in middle school, before I was even into cars. I grew up wanting a F-body Camaro. Found out the price of insurance and I had to buy my own cars because my family wasn't that well off at the time. I drove around a civic for a while. Then a friend came back from japan talking about his 180sx he had when he was stationed over there. So he bought a 240sx when he came back to the states. Natural I drove it and had a blast and bought a 92' 240sx roughly a little more than 3 years ago. I got into drifting and turbochargers and it helped me like my 240 even more.

It started with a 84 Pontiac Sunbird the biggest pile of crap ever it had a bad head gasket. I needed another car quick so I went to find the cheepist car I could finance and that was a 1989 Sentra. God that car was clean. I worked as a detailer and I would wax it weekly, acctually buffed it too much (paint was rubbed through on a few corners) but still mean shiny. I got into car stereo stuff put close to $2500 in there. THEN it was stolen, on christmas. It was found a week later no stereo no battery blown transmission. At that point it wasn't worth paying to get it out of impound, towing, and repairing. I wanted a Z32TT but didn't want the trouble that I've heard the engines can give you, also I'm cheep. So I went looking for a new car and the S13 was the first appointment I made. Since then I can't keep 2 pennies in my bank account they make too many parts for these cars.

I am a Nissan/Infinit loyalist.

Always liked their design priorities ( Power/Handling/Interiors) as they match mine, wether Nissan Sentra or Infiniti Q45 all are leaders in thier classes according to me personal prefernces.

Just bought my 6th Nissan/Infiniti in a row!

Fred..
