Hey and welcome. Im only 16 and i have had my 240 for a few months. Listen to these guys, learn to drive it, and then go for the upgrades. Don't worry about the KA too much in the beginning, it's a strong motor with just enough power to get you in trouble. Stay safe

no. you can turbo any KA, thats the lower year they made a KIT for.

eh, i cant add any more to what these guys said, i just got my 240 myself (and im still on a permit 3 more months til license). anyway i already kno how it feels like to drive something thats 300 hp....v12 750il ...crap that was scary. it was then when i realized im not ready for power yet. im completely happy with my ka24e engine... sr20 isn't even an option for me anymore. think about it. 16 year old, fast looking car, drift craze going up. Crap man, my car is going to be a target for the police. Crazy kids at my highschool with s14 zenkis "drifting." Well its more like burning out pretending they are drifting until the cops show up. Now the coolest thing i think you can do at your age (i believe we might be around the same) is trying out AutoX next year. From what i read from lingering around forums like zilvia and nico is that well the safe place to do it is at the track. No need to get our insurance higher no?

heres my 2 cents, I crashed my 240 cause it was rwd and I was an idiot, luckily, I got it back, better than ever, but at a major price. Now remember, dont EVER try an throw the rear out in the rain, EVER!!!!! NEVEREVERVERVERVERVEER EVER.... gl finding the 240 of your dreams and modding it welcome to the boards

thanks a lot for the support guys. to tell you the truth i wasn't expecting such positive remarks and help. i halfway expected to be flamed, but you all surprised me. it definatly tells me something about the quality of the board. im gonna be posting here more often while i go through the process of getting my 240. my parents said that the earliest i'll be getting my car is after x-mas....that SUCKS. but maybe they're lying....but that will give me time to get a job and save up for my mods. :-P
