Got school to pay for (graduating in May) and got hit with a 5 figure IRS bill due to me making a mistake on some work forms, lol.DoN_BLaZe34 wrote:Nice pics, how you've managed to go this long without lowering the car is beyond me lol.

A lot of Vette guys used this type of product.
That lip mod looks very nice, almost like factory. Did you get the material from ebay?Ilya wrote:Catching up on my build thread.
On 1/17/16 I installed an EZ Lip on my front bumper which is similar to the "home depot lip" mod people used to do back in the day on their Maxima's, etc.

Sounds like you got everything pretty much covered for starting out. Keep us posted.Deezyweezy wrote:great car! I just ordered the Stillen Cat-Back yesterday for my M56x, can't wait for it to get here. My next step will be window tint. I bought her a week ago, 2011 with 32K miles. Bought it from a dealer in Maryland, got it home and the paint on driver side had an awful touch up job so I raised hell and dealer sending me a check for $2K of which I'm getting her painted (dropping off tomorrow) for $2700 (like five panels, I'm nervous as a cat).
So, my mods look like this:
1) Day 1 - K&N Air Filters
2) Day 8 - New paint job drop-off tomorrow
3) Stillen Cat-Back Exhaust ordered and on the way
4) Window tint when she's back from detailer
I'm still riding on the factory 18's but I'd love to go after the following:
1) Rims and new shoes (not sure I'll go 20's, but maybe, yours look sweet) likely at next tire change, dang tires are new so I've got some time.
2) Performance brakes
TBD from there...btw, my car is silver with black interior, once she's back i'll post pix and vid with the new Stillen exhaust.
Later!
sorry!Ilya wrote:But in your own thread, lol.
I think people on the Y50 section tried this with a KP Technologies module, but otherwise it was tough to do because of how the Infiniti IPDM module/system works. Everything is tied in together.agoodall wrote:Awesome. Now if you smarter electrical wiring individuals could just figure out how to have just the foglights come on... I would be upgrading my lights immediately
Welp, one of these failed after 3 weeks and after some experimentation with Morimoto XB LED Fogs (sealed unit), I have decided to go back to the PIAA fog light bulbs I had before which lasted about a year and a 3 months.Ilya wrote:One of my halogen fog light bulbs failed so I decided to upgrade to 40w LED bulbs for the fogs.
Got them from iJDMToy. There was an issue with one (lock ring on the bulb base was moving instead of being stationary/part of the base). They refunded me a partial amount and I ended up superglueing the ring to the base to make it stop spinning.
Here are some pictures (pic 2 is halogen/before, pic 3 is LED/after):

Seriously?!?! Places I've looked they're a couple hundred. Fitment and quality was good? How tough to install?Ilya wrote:$100 on eBay.hoover86 wrote:I've been looking at those black grills too. They look a lot cleaner especially on the black cars.
