I'm 24, reason for the misgrammer is that I've been writing all this from a iPhone.was trying to keep my replys as short as possible. Ok ima lay the situation down for all of you. Yes I understand I have been saying ima trade then changing my mind. I'm still trying to make up my mind. I never said I was rich so why are yall saying I got alot of cash? My car was built with in time. The rb26dett I've had it for about a month , was gonna keep it and help one of my friends out with his 240. Was gonna do him a swap just because he has been there for me alot and has helped me build my car. The supra on the other hand is owned by some rich dude around here that just gets all his cash from daddy, he loves how my s13 feels and pulls. He is the one who offered not me. If I was him I wouldn't trade I would just buy a s13. But come on guys you all know if you had any oppurtunity yall would trade your s13 for a supra.

Hmmm seems like a straight up trade for a supra with over 500hp would be nice but most likely IMPOSSIBLE. any supra guy isnt going to drool over an s chassis and trade his car for one. I do not find it likely that there is a rich white person in Loredo.

I do however have a buddy the same age as me that just works really hard and is very smart about it and owns a Viper , CLS 500 AMG, Dodge 1500, Astro Van, Gixxer 1000 and a 280z.

I 100% agree with the exception of a few different things, things irrelevant to this thread.

Aftermarket parts, horsepower, body kits and graphics are ALL man made and opinionated monetary values when looked at from a "Private/personal Buyer" or "Private/Personal Seller" perspective.

lol , how are you gonna rb swap in one day if you can't figure out how to drain your catch can. and let's assume that you do swap it in one day, imo it'd look and be terrible. for my simple sr swap i have a day's worth of disassembling, cleaning, painting and reassembling; and about another half day into prepping the engine bay. hell, theres about 40 hours into my wiring alone. i could have just dropped it in in a day but i take pride in my work and i want it to look like i put time into it.

i normally don't care at all what you want to call your car, i mean, i', rocking 180sx qp glass, but in terms of value theres a big difference between a sil80 and a sil front on a 240. if you try to pass off a sil front swapped 240 as a sil80 its kinda false advertising. its not jdm with all the japanese offered options, or rhd or even as rare. now, rarity in an s13 doesnt matter to me, but it might to the person your trading with. and don't try to say they have the same value, cuz if they did then japanese car importers wouldn't sell jdm 180sx's and silvias for like $8k. obviously someone thinks theyre worth that much.

Thats how i feel too.I feel bad for the car. Its a completed project, theres nothing that needs to be done to it. And its a bad place for a noob-tuner to start.

If i was in you shoes, i probably wouldnt have bought it in the first place *cuz i cant drain a catch can* let alone handle 5xxHP.

Trade it for a stock-er SX then have some fun and gain experience tuning and upgrading.

The only thing i would change on this car is the wheels. Get some fat wheels on the back and its set. Beyond that, leave this masterpiece alone........i mean it.

I understand from where you are coming from. You are talking about official names given to the car. If we were talking about REAL Nissan Sileighty's i think there was only about 500, if that, ever made. Anything before that was from "kids Heart" and Tezuka. Man made sir names.

All of which was in japan, even most of our cars were made in japan but that is besides the point.

He does not have a REAL sileighty and you are correct, the accepted vernacular when speeking about the styling of his car while on US soil would be more along the lines of, "Sileighty Style inspired 240sx", Or "s13" is still alright, or like you said "Sil-Fourty" Or a "Sil front 240sx". But NO it is not an Official Sileighty. Officially it is ONLY a Modified 240sx.

And if the OP IS in fact trying to pass it off as one (one being an official Sileighty). Then that is just wrong.

The only reason i think they go for a little bit more money over there is because of the money put into them and the Yen is worth a scooch more then the dollar. Actually i do not know but not all of them cost 8000, Japan Partner Inc has had some nice ones for only 4k USD. Not after shipping though. I know nothing about exchange rate and or tax conversion on any international shizz.

the yen isnt more then the dollar, its a fraction of a penny. even a stock jdm s13 goes for more then a usdm s13.
