I had everything approved and ready to go on a new C350. I really wanted that car, and loved it. When I saw Pearl sitting there on the showroom floor, I forgot all about the C350. The C class MB is really a nice car.

I looked the SRT 4 up...

Dodge Caliber SRT-4's torque, limited to 214 pound-feet in first gear. you shift to second for 245 pound-feet, and then through third, fourth, fifth, and sixth, where you get all 265 pound-feet.

That explains the relatively slow (14.9) ET with a relatively high (101.9) trap speed. Dodge kills the torque to keep the car on the road. I don't think you would have liked the car all that much.

I was between an S4 and an A6. Drove the G and decided to invest the additional 25k I would've spent.

edit: Oops, didnt read the entire question. Now that I think of it, I would have purchased a beater for driving to and from work (potholes are killing my G) and then would have hunted down a twin turbo Supra.

I had an agreement with myself that I'd go from FWD (I30) to RWD (Right Wheel Drive as my friend Tuan says) then AWD, but I was really tempted to jump straight to AWD.

EVO IX or STI (2005 body style). Wife still wants an EVO, but she's content with the Celica for now.

yea i was talking bout the neon SRT-4. Since my first car was a neon, i felt like the SRT would be the perfect upgrade for me. But after a while i realized i wanted performance AND style. Not taking away from the SRT-4 but the G35 is the best of both worlds

I woulda loved to have an early 90's turbo ( Supra, 300ZX, RX-7) but its hard as hell to find one in decent condition in my area.

Was seriously considering an M3 at that time, until I saw the beauty of my life in 2003---A G-35 Coupe. On the day I saw her, I nearly rear ended the car in front of me---it was love at first sight. Since, then I have never looked back.

Was set on getting a 06 350z with a 6MT, but when I drove the G35 it was more my speed.....fast and comfortable. But the 350Z would have been my second pick!!

Also could have stayed with my 98 Maxima...loved that car!!!

2002-2003 Porsche 911 base model with Sunroof and a turbo body kit. I drove a silver one about 3 times before I bought the G. I bought the G because it was the SAME PRICE and FASTER!

I would have keep my Galant GTZ(if nothing else it was reliable) until I could afford the G35, the G was the only car I wanted for a while.

I would've gotten a new 350z instead of the used G35. Glad I got what I did, though, for sure!

It was a choice between a new WRX, new 350Z, used S2000, or used G. No regrets at all!

Why a TL?? The wifie loved it. She liked the interior better. Why did she pick the G?I took her to Infiniti dealer that had a low mileage TL and she took it down a twistie road then took a G down the same twistie road. The drive convinced her to pick the G.I drove the TL too and it was it was nice. Can not bash it.

I would of got a 07-08 TL type S. I think they are almost as nice as a G. It was also easy to compare them with options(with or w/o navi)

If I hadn't bought the G, I would have bought a Toyota Prius. Opposite ends of the automotive spectrum, for sure. Both are best in their class.

My choice was between a new 350Z or a new G Coupe. The Z has no back seats so the wife made the decision for me (I'd like to get the upcoming 370Z for a weekend fun car)

I get a VPP discount, so if the choice were to be made now or in the near future? It would be the GTR as it has back seats and my wife is completely in love with it.

Acura TL

or

Lexus

But I had a picture of the G as my screensaver for almost 3 years before I got it... so I was pretty bent on getting the G.

G_whizz:

Same here! I had a big front page picture of a laser red G-35 Coupe in my office for 3.5 years. My boss brought the picture to me in my office, after realizing my obsession with a G-35 Coupe. Each day I dreamt of owning one, until 2007. And when I did, I went loco. With the installed mods on the car, I can't even begin to describe the ecstasy and euphoria I feel when i drive it. It is almost unbeleivable. I feel possessed driving the car. Can someone describe this phenomenon better for me?

LOL... when I went to pick up my 03 maxima back when the G first hit the dealerships. I was in awe... I sat in it for 30mins. Then took it out for a test drive and freaked out. I was like "how much... how can I... what sort of deal" all at like 1000 words a second. My friend (who worked there) just pat me on tha back and said "not yet buddy... it's not in your budget... now let's go look at the Max" It was like a child having his candy taken away. So... I put a pic of it on my screensaver and worked towards getting this car.

I still smile everytime I'm walking toward her, sit in her and drive her. It has not worn off 1 bit! I had an 05 and now an 07... looking forward to seeing what Infiniti comes up with... because I am hooked!
