I absolutely LOATH CA. Too many taxes, restrictions and generally Liberalism is just plain right in your face.Bubba1 wrote:I've always liked Coranado Island/San Diego
I do not. I love the cold weather and I love snow. To me this is normal KY weather and it's been over 2 years since we've had it.XenonSE-R wrote:I echo the Hawaii sentiment after this insane cold we have had.
Savannah is such a beautiful town. I remember visiting there on biz years ago while they were filming the parade scene from the Civil war movie "Glory" on River Street. I never got to see Denzel Washington but I did get approached to be an extra.nissangirl74 wrote:My favorite city east of the Mississippi definitely has to be Savannah, GA. Savannah's beauty is literally divided in half after the gentrification project... I would love it too, but Georgians make me nervous.nissangirl74 wrote:My favorite city east of the Mississippi definitely has to be Savannah, GA. Beautiful scenery, nice people, lots of history. The PA emissions test depends on the county where you live and its overall level of pollution. For example, near Philly, yes, there's a sniff test, but in more rural counties, there is no emission requirement. As far as taxes go, it's all relative. It's expensive when compared to other parts of the country, but within the northeast region, it's reasonable. In fact, when compared to NJ, it's a bargain.NolimitZ32 wrote:Somehwere in Pennsylvania? I'm actually moving back to the States this year and have been pondering myself on where to settle for the foreseeable future, Pennsylvania was recommended as something I should look into and I must say it peaked my interest as far as nature, mountains, weather, & history. The taxes are pretty high though and not sure about the vehicle emissions laws.
Well hell, if you lived in NYC, you wouldn't own a car because nobody needs one. Or at least you would park it somewhere in Jersey. When I have to go into DC, I usually leave the car in a lot and take the subway down... it's just smart that way. I would love this town if it wasn't for the weather or the traffic coming out of/going into Virginia...PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:Lots of places have their ups and downs. I care more about the people I'm around rather than where it is (within reason).
I wouldn't want to live in NYC or anywhere with tons of traffic. I tend to like areas with less cops too. Come to think of it, the less laws the better.
