idle control

Car: 1989 240sx with sr20det swap red top

Does anybody have any suggestions to help me with this? I have an sr20det red top and ever since the first day it's had an erratic idle. upon startup its ok but after it warms up the idle stays around 900rpm. then randomly it drops to about 400 or 500 rpm and my voltage drops along with it. Does anybody have an idea what could be wrong with it? Any cures or common remedies?

it might be your coolant temp sensor, do a search, Im sure its been discused,
