Idle air control valve question

I should have responded to this last week. After changnig the Alternator, the sound is completely gone. I think what must have happened is the alt was making the noise, but it resonated in that part and sounded really loud inside it with the stethoscope. So it appears to be solved. Thanks for everyones time and feedback, this thread can die now.
