no this isn't the normal MAF problem it revs up goes fine just alot of time when i come up to a light or stop sign and have to down shift the car will die and it will start right back up i'm wondering if this could be throttle position or something else.

I had the same problem. Found out my IACV hose that attaches to the cold pipe came off, causing the car to die whenever downshifting to first. So check your IACV setup.

Boost leaks and leaky BOV(or VTA) can and will cause this too.

VTA = Vent To Atmosphere.

I would get a piece of PVC pipe end cap the same Outside Diameter as the turbo inlet and attach that there with a hole drilled into it with a compressor fitting threaded into it snugly with teflon tape. Then pump it with some PSI. And listen.
