well i finally found the parts i need. i will double stack these to make upfor the ones the machine shop lost mine.http://www.frsport.com/Tomei-162006-Val ... 16291.html it will work fine because they are designed to stack on your stock springs and the head is machined so they wont slip. Image so i still wont have it together until september. sitting in a village in alaska right now. waiting on salmon.

finally got the sr22 together and in the car. started it up for the first time tonight. cranked right over after i primed the oil . fired up. i havent set the timing with a timing light yet. and i think this is the cause for bogging when i try to rev it.
it idle right at 900, got a little bit of a boxer engine sound going on think it might need some new spark plugs. i cleaned these before i put them in.
only had 2 water leaks, and i fixed one all ready. the other is on the water outlet neck. easy fix there. no oil leaks. :)
but oil pressure was perfect. and i let it idle up to temp.

so thought you guys would like to know that i am doing something.

well got the timing done today.
and wired in electrical fans. still need to mess around with them a bit.
but the ecu is throwing code 55
and the avcr is saying the injectors are running at 80-90% duty cycle!!!!! at ilde.
so i am thinking the injectors may be dirty? but what do you guys think. just doesnt seem right? to be running that high of duty.

well now it is a code 12 which is a maf code. make since with the engine not revving. but now i am not getting a vaccum reading. seems like the waste gate may be stuck closed. not sure new engine lots of things to diagnose now.

trying to not let little things distract me and focus on the main things it takes for an engine to run.

Keep up the good work, and please upload new video when you are done with all the kinks. Btw, what did you get for the bottom end? Specs?

well its a darton sleeved block machined by mazworx. i did all the assembly of the cp pistons and eagle rods. new bearing. the block has a 90mm bore vs stock 86 mm. not much of the other stuff has changed. the head has a mild porting done on exhaust side and a 3 angle valve job with new valve guides.

thanks man.

well the trouble shooting has gone as far as the basics.
thought i may have misaligned the cams and crank but checked that today. and it is good.
checked all the voltage to the MAF and they are good. with the 12v and the 5 volt. and no more code 12 on the ecu, back to code 55.
we know we are getting fuel.because it was on every spark plug when i pulled and cleanned them. and i will just have to set the spark timing.
so if we have air, fuel, and spark we should have an engine running. but will it run good. spark was running perfectly good before the engine was pulled and nothing has changed. coils and everything the same. so the only thing in question at this point are the injectors which i bought used. or possibly the tune. tomorrow evening should bring some light.

everything is hooked up. so if there is still a problem at let you guys know. and if the bugs are out i will let you guys know.

well it was opening up. just opening up lat. seemed to not open tell 195. it was a sentra ser 91 thermostat. i guess they have two choices for that car. and one opens at 195 and the other opens at 180.

but regardless i drove the car last night. and it bounced back and forth between 185-200 but when i would go over 3000 rpms it would start dropping. some. but it should be at 180 constantly

tried not to go over 3000 since i am breaking the engine in. but it feel really tight. and torquey. in 3rd gear it would make 5 lbs of boost by 3000 and that is partial throttle. never went WOT. stock exhuast manifold and a gt2871r .86 turbo. divided turbo outlet. guess the 9 to 1 compression and 4 mm over bore help that. spooling almost comparable to my.64 on the 2 liter did.

trying not to jump to many conclusions as i have only put 40 miles on it so far.

the motor is together , in the car, and running, put close to 40 miles on it yesterday. going to go change thermostats and drive it around most of today to add some more miles.

put a 91 sentra ser non classic thermostat in runs right at 180 now. probably run cooler in the higher rpms

well 300 km just flipped the trip odometer.

hit 10 psi one time. felt great.

the extra compression and .2 liters is noticeable when out of boost. drop the clutch at 3000 and it breaks the tires loose. i let off so as to not keep it going. but it is torquey. would said a sr20 is a torquless wonder

Idaho, you said perfect oil pressure at idle when you warmed the motor up. What pressure are you running at idle on the fresh rebuild?
