Once I finish stripping my interior or what's left of it anyways I'll get started on the engine bay, its the red parts one I had in my pic. When I got it it had part of the engine taken apart 'cause someone was supposed to be working on the top end but never got anywhere and since I'm dropping a V8 anyways I'm gonna just finish stripping it out. (note to self, invest in a cherry picker) Then clean up the bay and repainting. When you paint the engine bay do you treat it like the rest of the car, primer than paint? Also do you have to use heat resistant paint or just regular would do? I know I definitely need it on the block when I clean it up but not sure on the bay.

it depends on what type of work ur doing. im only doing work to the head the bottom end will be stock, of course i would pull the engine if i was doing bottom end work. the car is also my daily, thats why i bought a spare head. im gonna build up my spare head, get the new turbo, new turbo extension and dp, metal headgasket and intake mani and just swap everything on in a day, almost no down time

i used heavy duty rust preventive paint, not sure o nname brand i will check on it later. and the engine bay i sprayed down with Gunk degreaser and then pressure washed. and the after it dried i wiped it down with a cloth wiht paint thinner on it. then i just spray painted it.

nope its the whole silver thing, its cake to replace. take the clamps off of the lines, removed filter from holder, slide hoses off (make sure they are held shut or fuel goes everywhere), slide hoses onto new filter, secure clamps, force into holder and ur done

I'll take two Yep alot of my low budgeting is due to do the kids especially this time of year you know. i have 2 girls a 3year old and 6 month old. The 6 month old got a mouth like you wouldn't believe! Sometimes I just turn, look at my wife and wish I could just punch her in the mouth lol She gets it from her. Loud a$$ shriek, but what can you do, can't live with then can't live without them.
