you dont think the q45s will be enough? how much do the z32 set ups run. most the tiem i wont be driving really fast just accelerating really fast.

if i was to go like 300 dollars more to like 700 which i think the z32 brakes cost about i would rather get the Fast Brakes USA from JGY it is a 4 piston set up.

Z32 setups, if getting parts, can be had for only slightly more than q45 setups.

If you want to talk brake prices, and the sort, PLEASE shoot me an email to [email protected] Being that we have a family business/shop, I can get you some NICE prices on stuff, as long as you shoot me the email. Trust me when I say, a Z32 setup isn't that expensive.

Cliffs: I can get you a New Rebuilt Q45 or Z32 setup for the same price (well the q45 may be 25 bucks less).....so if you want z32, email me.

I wouldn't give JGY a dime of anything. Scammers

WhiteCOmet: I said stock calipers with good pads to me are just as good as q45 setup. I really think q45 is just a bunch of horsing around just to say 'oh i have different brakes'. To me, 300zx is the standard for a reason.

Well, man, you may beat me to the punch of driving with the wheels on the car. I think I have a blown head gasket.

ahh got ya. i mistook your previous comment. while i do agree thta z32s are superior i find it hard to believe s13s stock calipers with good pads are as good as q45s

Codyace, what about seals for Z32 brakes? Can you get those cause I'm rebuilding mine, also need the ebrake shoes for a Z32.

They really work the same. A quality pad on the stock etup really works well. Albeit tire choice can also play a large roll too.

In all reality, OEM brake upgrades IMo should go like this:

Altima/Maxima caliper (to use an 11" rotor)then300zx Brakes

To each his own though. It's not like q45 isn't going to work, but IMO it's difference is not justifiable for the cost of it, especially when you can get Z32 stuff so cheap.

I can get a seal kit, and believe I can get those shoes. Shoot me an email [email protected] and we can keep from litering Ben's thread hehe.

Certain mang. I just want you to get the bang for buck ya know? No use in half-finishing a good build.

PS: Love the halogen/brick style lights. By far my fave. I know this may sound noobish of me, but would you happen to have a wire diagram of them? Local kid has them in his car, and the previous owner....well lets say he was a fan of wirenuts and speaker wire....I'd really like to fix that up for him ya know?!?

we will wire them in some time. should be pretty easy i think. i dont have a wire diagram. i am excited for the lights too. took 3 days for them to get here from malaysia.how is that for fast shipping.

well cody you talked me into it. i check out the phase2 and 240sxmotoring items for a z32 swap. and there is no reason to do a q45 brake up grade. looks lie ki can get every thing from them. the rotors drilled for 4 lug all ready. which is cool.

all i will need is the BMC. unless you can get me the calipers for cheaper. i had one guy offer them to me for 200 and the ywere aluminum. but i think i will just go with the iron ones.

plus the z32 ones look alot cooler then the q45 brakes. . they will look good painted green with the nissan part sanded off and shinny. haha cant wait.

well today my dad worked on the hatch. patching all the holes to shave the 3rd brake light and fix the rust holes.pop rivet a piece in to weld it.shaving the 3rd brake lights and wiper hole.we didnt get to the antennae hole.

and here it is fixed.

it took alot of bondo to fix it because when he welded the holes shut it warped a little bit but it will turn out good.

we got the intercooler mounted up good now.

and sanded down the bumper an cut out the part fro the intercooler. it still needs a little trimming

and my dad worked on the front fender a little too.

overall it is coming together.

here are some pics

and we set the timing. but the idle is pulsing and i couldn't get it down to 750 rpm. it was at 900. and will drop down to 750ish then go back up to 900. i messed with the IACV and that was as low as i could get it.

i might have a small vaccum leak which could cause the idle to be like that. but that is the only thing i got to mess with and fix. other then that the motor is done. YAHOO
