I would love to, but I got these from a KA-T member so I guess I'm SOL.ZOMG.SR20 wrote:not safe dont use them return and get new
Yea that looks like my best option right now. Any recommendations where to get the OE bearings?OutToWinPAHC wrote:You know that happened to me too. I ended up getting nowhere with Ichiba and had OE bearings put into the defective one.
I sent them an email explaining my issue. If I don't get a reply within a few days, I'll call them. They're closed today anyway.Kalypso wrote:call ichiba they have a tech that can speak with you over the phone
Just making double sure, but you can press in OEM wheel bearings into Ichiba hubs? I take it you used the S13 wheel bearing to match the S13 knuckle. Correct?OutToWinPAHC wrote:You know that happened to me too. I ended up getting nowhere with Ichiba and had OE bearings put into the defective one.
Where are you getting them from and for how much?? The only ones I found are around $100 EACH!Bumnah wrote:Ordering up a replacement OEM bearing tonight!

I went there and went to Catalog > Suspension > Hubs & Spindles and checked out everything that was there. I didn't see any s13 bearings or even s14. The cheapest thing was s14 front hubs.Bumnah wrote:www.thenismoshop.com
Yea they were already out of the hubs when I got 'em. OEM is expensive but worth it I guess.placham wrote:2nd pic looks like spring/retainer for lip seal is efed-up, and where is the inner bearing race(wait I see it 1st pic)?
Awsome! Safety first, right?!?! Can't be those china quality made automotive parts!!killernoodle wrote:I bought a $150 set or knock offs on ebay and they came in perfect.

One would hope that's how aftermarket manufacturers approach the problem. Reality is they only need to make sure the inner diameter of the bearing fits the shaft of the knuckle/axle. The other diameter doesn't necessarily need to be the same diameter as the OEM bearing.SmithSR wrote:ALL of these hubs are just reverse engineered from nissan parts, so of course you can press OEM bearing into the hub. Dur dur dur.
There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that 5-lug is so much more right lol.Chris28 wrote:What's wrong with 4 lug? Just save up and get quality stuff. Keep your steelies until you can afford to upgrade.
NICE info! I've always wondered if you could do that. Obviously you're running s13 front knuckles.SmithSR wrote:Y'know, when i did 5lug hubs, I simply bought S13 bearings and installed them into S14 hubs.
The dealer has everything you need.
If you can't afford wheel bearings then I guess this hobby is expensive and not for everybody.
lol yup that was me. Yea, I think I'll be glad I went this route when I look back. I was gonna use that money for tension rods but that can wait.DriftBoy07 wrote:lol Jeb your the guy who pulled up on me in the prelude in Heather Ridge last night right? Glad your spending the extra dough man, itll be worth it-and Bumnah really knows his s***
Daym I wish I knew that before I bought the Ichibas. So your whole setup is OEM, nice. I didn't want the s14 hubs because everything I read said I would've had to get the knuckles and the ball joint or at least modify the s13 knuckle. Hopefully someone in the market for front 5 lugs for their s13 sees this thread.SmithSR wrote:Y'know, when i did 5lug hubs, I simply bought S13 bearings and installed them into S14 hubs.
