Oh my!
I had my wisdom teeth pulled about 10 years ago. SUCKED!!!!
They decided that laughing gas was the way to go... so I went under the mask.
They had a student anesthatist... she OD'ed me!!! No joke... gave me too much.. I started to black out. The doctor got all pissed at her, they had to let off it in order to bring me back. (I can verify that when you pass out.. your hearing is the last of your senses to work) When they brought me back, they swung it too far... so I got to experience some of the wonderfull sensation of having your tooth destroyed so that it can be pulled out bit by bit.
That's all I remember from the actual procedure.
The recovery sucked very much as well.. I had all 4 pulled, so I looked like a chipmunk. The sucky thing is that you aren't supposed to either suck or blow very hard because you don't want to mess with the open wounds.. you could get infected or "dry socket". So you aren't supposed to spit or suck too hard... So you drool...and your not allowed to like spit.. . It sucked.. I fealt like a vegetable for a couple days.
Yeah... I am an Anti-Dentite! I hate them... I swear they have the only job in the world where they can "sell" you something and not have you even question it... they need a new addition on their house... Better do a root canal on that molar.

Had mine pulled when I was 18. Knocked me out, was basically unconcious for the rest of the day, then kept popping Tylenol3 for the rest of the weekend. They bled for a long time, but it's probably because I kept changing the gauze.
I couldn't eat anything besides mashed potatoes and apple sauce for about a week, and couldn't really chew things for another 2. First bit of meat after a month. Then again, all mine were under the gum and in there sideways.
They finally got me hooked up to an IV on the 7th try (twice in each hand, twice in my right elbowpit, lastly in my left) and the moment they injected the drugs into the IV I was out thinking "It should probably take a couple of..." Then, the most amazing feeling ever. Had me on some hardcore pain killers, and I did go to school totally stoned out of my mind. Only went for the last few minutes so I could work that night, and all the administraters just laughed at me for being high. They still give me a hard time about that.
