Hey Dark-sky! Bet you NEVER guessed there'd be such a 'reaction' to your post!!! I'm sorry there was so much childish criticism about it. I had hoped that people could offer some real useful help for you; althouth the weight reduction idea sounded the best. I apologize for being so flippant with a couple of my suggestions, hopefully something else there was useful. By the way, you didn't report back how it went?

I love having a 'street-banger' to mess around with. My G35 and SC400 are just to expensive for me to abuse. Was there anything else different about the car when you bought it other than the missing back seats? Nitro

Hey Ken, I just got off the phone with one of my automotive buddies and he concurs that you are correct about the 'Urban Myth' of multiple wax build up coats. Apparently even 3M's swirl 'remover' is mostly designed to fill, rather than remove. Thanks for bringing that error up. Nitro

the racing is this Saturday coming up. Also yea I expect mean replies, but I forgot how bad things can get. I chose to buy lug nuts, since I saw 2 missingfrom the back. And I already put an techron in the tank so no booster. I sawthe loose throttle cable. I think that will help the car be more fun everday.Haven't messed with the car yet. just checked it out.

Thanks a lot for the posts. Its fun to see people bring their responses together.I also thought this could help me out even If I decide not to race.

With that said, I'll think about racing a bit more. I do have a lot to lose. If I feel its safe to race I will, if not I'll just watch and do anything I can to help the others if something happens. Also they raced last saturday, I didn't go. My friend told me their are a lot of lightly modified cars. So I think I can compete against Civics, Integras etc.... He also said a modded Evo was beating everybody. Cops were their and they didn't do anything. Its on a long one way street, no side connecting streets either. So its a good place to race without the danger of upcoming cars.

I'm thinking about racing my friends Rx-7 turbo, to show those civics my car isn't so fast, and bring them to the line. Plus I dont care about embarressment or anything. and I want to see the difference between thecars.

if you try to race any gsr or dohc civic si you are going to lose.you should be able to beat any ls out there depending on ur driving. If you decide to race (which you shouldnt) launch at about 4200 and feather out just a little.

I never said that. all I said was I stopped caring after people with low post counts started giving advice like

QouteF) Wax the entire car including the windshield with 3 full coats of wax.

G) The headlights pull a lot of drag when their up. What can you do about that?

U should not be giving out advice at all. your going to give dumb ideas to people who could actually learn something if they read into the archives
Hmmmm.... This what you really think of people with low post counts? Just so happens, that although I have only recently joined NICO (and brag to people regularly about how helpful all of you are) I do still have some resemblance of intelligence. For a living I'm an auto dismantler 6 days a week. I'd like to think that I've learned a little bit from this. What about the multiple cars I've wrenched for the track? Think I learned anything there? Maybe the 1966 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with a 472c.i., the 1965 Dodge Polaris with a 383 c.i., or the 2.0l 1994 VW Golf? Oh yeah, what about the 1989 240SX with a KA24E, and the 1987 Subaru RX with a turbo boxer 4? Guess I don't know that much though, since I have a low post count. Nevermind the fact that I don't post most of my questions. Instead, I use the "search" to find what has already been posted about it. Anyway, wipe the egg off your face now and reallize that even newbies may just know a thing or two. Also, some newbie that you give h*ll about what you consider to be a stupid answer, may just be a good hearted kid trying to offer someone the best advice he can, given what he knows at the time. Isn't it on all of us to help educate that person without insulting him? Well, that's just my 2cents worth.

One more post like this and you will be banned.

Treat people with respect even if they don't have a clue what they are talking about. There are other ways to prove a point rather than calling them "fag" and using profanity.

Consider this your warning.
