I Want A 240!

Whats goin on everybody, this is my first post on this board...I'm coming from honda-acura forums, but I'm really interested in getting an s13 or s14. I would love an s15, but I just can't afford that model. My friend has a 92 240 se coupe, and i love the RWD, thats one of the main reasons I want one. Ok, now is where I need all of you guys' help: Are the specs of the KA24de the same from 1994-98? What is the rated HP and torque? Was there ever a V6 240 engine made (just a rumor i heard)? With I/H/E on an s14, vs a non-VTEC integra with I/H/E, who would win if equaL drivers? what about a gsr integra vs the i/h/e s14? Thanks everyone, CONVINCE A NEWB TO THIS BOARD TO BUY A 240!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the board. Check out the search option at the top right corner of your screen. You can find most of the answers to your questions there because they have already been asked. As for the non-vtec integra vs. 240 i would say the 240 would win. and 240 is going to need more than I/H/E to beat a gsr.

what kind of board is this? I know everyone tells newbs to do a search, trust me me I may be a newb here, but a moderator at other forums...I really love 240s, and I want everyone's $.02 on which generation is fastest/better, can be made most fast, etc....H O O K M E U P!:bowdown

So your tired of the old fwd thing,go ahead and trade in your jalopee and get yourself the newest 240 you can find. After some 14year old buys your car with credit for 15000(because hes young and stupid) youll have enough money left over to do an sr swap and upgrade and roll in about 350hp. Thats my goal except im halfway there. Good luck and if you still have your tricked out vtech and i have my sr im gonna mess you over. GOD BLESS 240s:chainsaw

thanks for the info...I just have one remark, the sr20det is not the answer or solution to everything. If I had a little civic hatchback with my engine in it (H22a VTEC, 190 hp, 160 ft/lbs tq) with I/H/E and u take ur sr powered s13 or s14, you will not smoke me...it be a close race, and either could win, depending on the driver. at least you kno who sits on the throne of motors. look at the FAQ at the top of the page for HP and TQ specs, and stuff about each model of the car. its got alot of good info.

He's supposed to be really sick. According to posts that he has made, he had kidney stones and after those went away he developed another malady. He's probably in too much pain and/or is too drugged to pay attention to the board...It does feel odd without him here.

yea i knew he was sick, but there for a while he was still postin on here. his AIM name is online some. so he's there i guess, but its always away. oh, and when i said i need an exhaust, i have the money for it and i want to get it from him, cause he's gonna be cheaper. i'm not just dreaming about exhaust.

I think he left cause he's a Honda guy. I want one more! Guess what? 9 months til I'm 16 as of today! ANd an additional 8 days til I get my license, YAY!

i have 5 days till license :pface well, that is if i pass. hey rezzasvtec, if you really want a 240 because you actually like it and are not going to rice it out, as alot of honda guys do to their cars, then go ahead and look into it. don't get one just to hurry and put in a SR20 and think you are the shiznit. but if you are going to get one and not disgrace the 240 name, then by all means.

listen to maineimport, these years of your life are the best. no major worries, no kids(i hope), just living life to its fullest. believe me, getting yourself almost killed is such a great feeling. you know you were close to doing it once, so nothing stops you from doing it again. and as for the NEWB Rice Boy, wtf are you going to do with a prelude motor in a HB civic. you'd throw the balance off and mess up your "nice ride". save the H22 for a fat *** lude and stick with the civic. save up the $3k it costs for a B16 engine and drive it till it dies. dont think you can just jump into the FR way of life just like that after being a FF boy. its not as easy as you think, so leave it to us true drivers. oh, and a SR20 with 350hp would smoke your H22 powered HB.

Yeah, I never said I wasn't enjoying the hell out of it (no kids though, I ain't stupid, and this is the most Christian town ever, so... not a lot of people get any, and those who do get it from a select few sleazes), I'm having the time of my short life, I just wish I could drive, really... really... bad.

I agree with Lost, I'm sooo sick of all these Civic kids coming over saying "man I really want a 240", cause you don't, you just want to hop on the newest trend, its just a coincidence that the 240s are better.

I had a sick feeling in my stomach that when the Honda "JDM" trend came in that there would be a huge jump to Nissan, considering they are a dominant "JDM" force...I don't know if the "JDM" trend led into this new Nissan trend, but I hate it.

I'm only 20, but I've only owned Nissan cars from day one (3 cars). I spent a good half year convincing my mom to get a new Sentra SE (which she loves by the way). I'm a huge Nissan fan, and it sickens me to see everyone jump on the bandwagon cause Stupid Street and Import Tuner are covering quality cars. YUCK!

Oh by the way...an SR MILDLY tuned will WHOOP on a H22 powered go kart...but you're right the SR isn't the answer to everything...thats why there are KA-Ts, and CAs...multiple choice...moron. Go buy another Honda.

I own a Honda Civic and I'm no kid. I don't understand where all of this, close the wagons mentality is coming from. I mean sure, this guy (RezzasVTEC) is a troll, but ignore him and he'll go away. No offense Blink, but I think that blanket statement you made is pretty stupid. I like CARS, I read C&D front to back and have been doing so since I was 13. Speaking of which, now I see kids that don't even have a license to drive, bashing a brand they haven't even driven. I like your enthusiasim (SP), but let's hold off on the flaming until you can actually drive by yourself.

...oh yea... my first car was a 240 and not because i heard people talkin bout sr20's or tubos...i got it cause it looked good and the price was right...in the last two and a half years i have reasearched on this car and now more than ever i can say i'm a diehard nissan fan...

...remember the name Lorenzo Francisco...cause in the future when they talk about the worlds fastest 4cyl nissan its gonna be me there reffering to.
