Now on with the whoring i agree with maine import be glad you have to have your mom in the car when you want to go somewhere. first things first, just because I have owned a honda and an acura in the past, doesn't mtan I will "Rice out" a 240. I would never ruce anything out, all my past cars have been clean looking. Secondly, i'd a get a 240 because i like the way they look, how they handle, and plus their RWD...I DONT WANT IT B/C U THINK ITS A TREND (which sorry to say guys, it isnt...all the attention are on the honda/acuras, besides skylines that is). i've always loved the 14 styling, when i was much younger. my first cars were a 1990 nissan maxima and a 56 300zvx

So you say its not a trend,take a look(if you can handle all the rice, personnally I like to fry rice) at all the little import mags for the past 6mnths. Guess which car has been in these mags now more than ever. Its also never gonna be stock for an sr any advocate of nissans is gonna get one and hopefully have it running 20 psi and 400+rwhp before theyre done. the 240 is my first car. i didn't even kno what kind of car it was, but when i saw it and rode in it, i fell in love. i couldn't get my mind off of it. i wanted a '00 civic SI for a while, i loved it. but when i saw the 240, and really thought about how many civic's there were (everyone and their mom has one), i just HAD TO HAVE MY 240. i've learned an amazingly large amount of info about cars in general, and more about the 240, silvia, etc. from this board. so thank you guys. thanks for making my love for cars just this much better. i dont' know what i would do w/o this forum. its almost like a family kinda thing. i think its funny, look at all of the honda boys we have attracted. but i just wanna keep it simple (real 240 lovers, not just gettin a 240 to swap in an sr20 cause a magazine said so). i'm not sayin thats what you are doin tho hezzasvtec. just please, don't rice out our beloved. i know you said you won't, so keep your word if you get a 240.

Your "example" is flawed. An H22 would be quicker of course, cause you said you'd be swapping it into a hatch. If you wanna talk like that swap an SR into a Datsun, or even my KA into a 510 and see who wins. Stock for stock an SR will anally rape a 'lude, especially if they are a 97-00. If the Preludes are so great why did they stop making them....oh cause no one was buying them.

But if you really want a 240 then get one, its not like anyone is going to stop you, but I still stand by my statement that I'm sick of Honda kids switching over...."I like the RWD" blah, get a camaro then.

All the attention is still on Honda? Then why was the last slutty a*s import tuner all Nissan? Why is SCCs new project an S13? Why have I not seen a Honda on the cover of Stupid Street in a while, and why do they constantly mock the b16?

What pisses me off now is you people saying that because I'm, young, I have no ****ing idea what I'm talking about. Yeah, I'll stop bashing Hondas in general, but the thing is, I have seen 0 Civics, Integras, Preludes, Accords, etc that weren't riced out on the road. Until I do, I'll continue to assume there are very few no-rice Honda/Acuras. I do know far more than the average person my age. I'm riding with my brother to school daily, he has a 98' Audi A4 1.8T FWD, and hates the fact that he didn't wait and find a Quattro. We ride into the parking lot, one of the fastest cars there (205hp/250lb/ft), no respect. Meanwhile, fart-can equipped Civic with Altezzas, 18s, and Aero-Bomb-Wing-Ultra body kit gets all the looks and respect. Even the WRX is heading toward riceness(bov, painted calipers), I hate it. I don't hate Hondas in general, I hate people who say "I'm fast cause I have (mods above). I only hate those who don't know the difference between winning a race and looking like they did.

By the way, I've been reading C+D since I was 10 or so (we don't get it anymore, which is fine, that's all new cars I can't afford anyway), SCC, Eurotuner, MT (more new cars, oh well), and Automobile (and more new ones) for the past few years. I see a car mag, even a ricer one like Import Tuner, and I pick it up, flip through, find a tech article, and start reading.

I didn't mean to make anyone mad. In fact, I said I like the passion you younger guys have for your cars. When I was your age (not that I'm some old sage) the Japaneese automakers still imported the Supra, RX7, and the 300zx. They stopped though, because lack of American interest in the market segment. I was interested, but there was nothing I could do about it. Now they are finally starting to bring them back, and I'm glad that we have enough interest to to keep them here. It's peole like me that can buy them now, and it's passionate young guys (you) that can keep them here by keeping the interest level high. The only thing I didn't like was the blanket bashing of a car by guys that are just starting out. I mean don't be so closed minded that you you can't appreciate cars in general. Ok first of all, you can rice out a car and it can still look clean. Today I went to the 2003 Anaheim Car Show and I saw a "clean" Saturn with APC stickers and Pep Boys stickers all over it. The only performance part I think on there was either Eibach or Brembo, and the rest were stuff that made the car "look" good.

Secondly, well, why do you think the attention is on Hondas/Acuras? BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE CARS THAT LITTER ALL THE DAMN ROADS IN THE U.S. I have nothing against Honda owners, though, I just haven't encountered any kind ones yet.

All I know is that nobody on this entire list has ever physically tested whether or not X engine will beat Y engine if you spend X amount of dollars on it. We can barely afford to do everything we want to our own cars. Any engine can be made to perform great...that's the beauty of a turbo.

You can sit here all Fu*king day and argue about what will beat what. I don't want to hear that s*** anymore and I very seriously doubt many other people want too. I just want to know how to get mine running to its peak performance and some help along the way.

But, before you go talking smack about what somebody else's car or some theoretical car will do, take a good hard look at your own ride....I think there's probably plenty that you still want to do to it and I also bet that there are plenty of cars...in your own city even....that will spank the living s*** out of you on any given day.

So give it a rest guys...some people are full of bull****...try to ignore them no matter how tempting it is to call them out on it and make sure they are if you decide to....we all know that the 240 is an automotive masterpiece and that should be enough. :ylsuper
