I have been in to three Nissan dealerships looking at the new Maxima and everyone I have spoken to has said that its close to a 10 year waiting list for the GTR. A freind actually put 10g down and is waiting for at least four years becasue thats how far down the list he is. they also said that there would never just be a GTR sitting on the lot like that becasue as soon as it comes in it will be inspected and sent out to the next person on the list. I just find it strange that a car in such high demand with such an amazing reputation for crushing porshce's, ferrari's, lambo's, zonda's really anything you can think of is sitting at a dealership and they are willing to take payments on it over 4-5 years when they can sell it for the full amount in cash easy!

It' cool. With the way technology and manufacturing are going, all those things you mentioned might be standard equipment on cars in a few years, then it's a $30K used car. And think about "The King of the Hill" ZR1 Corvette of the early 90s, and all the technology to get 380 HP out of a the motor of that day. Now you get more power out of today's LS2 with a single cam for less money.

One thing's for sure, I can't justify (afford) $89K for a toy, so I gotta hope the price comes down to where I live.

The thing is that a bank does the financing and the dealership gets the money ASAP

I don't think Nissan Financial will be making the loan!

I saw the GTR at a nissan dealership as well...WOW this car is something else. Its really a beautiful car and it looks a lot better in person...

The sales guy said that Andrew Bynum bought one over the weekend and Donald Suttherland wrote a check for 120k right before he left the country....

Life must be good when you can write a check for 100k plus and leave the country with no worries...

Don't waste your time with some second rate finance company when it comes to the GTR. Go see a Nissan dealer and leave the uninformed middlemen out of the equation. The Nissan dealer is the one who will handle any problems you have with the car, so I'd really recommend buying it from them. I'd never go through mouse house type finance companies when Nissan/Infiniti is so good.

Seriously, I'd definitely avoid a second rate company like that. Even on a Versa, I'd avoid them.

I just found out from a person on the Z forum that my local Nissan dealer had a GT-R there. SOOOOO I packed up my D40 and headed on over today and all I can say is HOLY CRAP. As I walked up 2 salesman sighed and went, "camera....for the car in the lobby huh" and gave me a hard time. When I went in they asked the manager if I could take pictures (like I would take no for an answer) and the manager asked me if I knew what type of car it was (again, if you go in with a camera you probably know something about it).

As I was oogling and taking pics some old guy came up talking to a salesman and said, "Man this is an okay car, but the ZR1 corvette is DEF much faster than this peice." That sparked a pretty lengthy debate.

When I asked the salesman he said some dude from Germany came over and bought 3 sight-unseen, each one sold for 15 or 20K over sticker, and the guy is having all 3 flown back to Germany. He said they had 8 ordered for the store and this one was the only one that hit the store.

PS Black looks amazing, I had a boner....

Already one. It's a GT-R / Skyline forum. No owners of new GT-R's though that I have seen yet.

Nissan brought out the red "media car" to last weekends Import Alliance meet and was giving test drives on the track at 140+mph. Greg, Torry and some others on here were taken out in it. I was talking with them about a road test article but by the time the test drives were done he had to take off

**** my moms Camry has them... LOL and my G35 don't

But I have to say that I must have this car in Red... The black is nice, but not with the two tone lol!

I really like the wheels on the red one much better!

How much do you think the tires for the GTR are going to cost?

I'll agree with Tampa...the red is nice! I'm in Kuwait right now and have seen 3 of them SOB's driving around in the past 2 weeks! Damn rich bastards here! LOL. I've seen 2 reds and one black. I personally am a silver kinda guy, so I really need to see it in person. One of the red ones I saw had a Kuwaiti local driving it like a bat of hell and flew by me at about 150mph on a 45mphish street. Of course over here they don't give two ****s about speed limit. There's a few speed camera's here and there, but cops don't do a damn thing about psycho drivers. It sounded badass at WOT!!! The only way it could of been better is if I was getting some sweet road head at the same time! LOL

I will say this, I'd gladly give 70kish for one if I had it. but 100k+? Screw that! Hell, I might even try and buy one over here and ship it back. The resale on exotic cars over here is crazy cheap, cause these rich psycho's pretty much just don't care. Apparently the Kuwaiti nationals here like going and getting loans on everything, because every now and then at random the president basically wipes their dept clean, so everyone can have a fresh start.

WOW! I wish our country was that rich LOL

...nice pics above btw!
