I think we need a couple new sections on NICO

Agreed - 240 GenChat should be the same as NICO Gen Chat.

I'm not even saying that I think the 240Genchat contains irrelevant info. Im just saying that there is no need for that forum when you can just open the "240SX and Silvia (200SX)" up to posts.

This should happen with all forums, the Altima, Maxima, Skyline, etc.

I Also think that the Datsun forum should be one forum since it doesn't get much attention and anyone browsing through it would not go to all five or eight sections anyway.

THe Nico Gen Chat, could be renamed "Off- Topic"

There should be a "Message Board Announcements, Suggestions and Questions" forum.

There should not be more than 8 ads on any given page.

THere should be a BST forum and a "Vendor Sales and Group Buys" forum.

There should be a "Vendor Feedback" section because I am sick of hearing about someones misfortune in the SR section and the only people who care about those threads are the people who have a misfortune and the vendors who sell stuff and care about image. It should be carefully modded and posts there should be intellegible and not "ring-like".

The "NICO Menu" at the bottom of the lefthand side is worthless and the lefthand bar needs rethinking. There should not be more than 8 ads on any given page.

There should be a search bar like this (below) and in the top right corner

One in particular I'd be interested in acting on right away would be the vendor sales / group buys. This could be open ONLY to advertisers (for obvious reasons) and be the 3rd leg of our Shopping Mall:

I'm not gonna provide a forum for people who don't support NICO to make a buck, at the expense of those who pay for our continued existence.

If businesses want to sell here, they can advertise with us. It's not that expensive for them, and Rex is STILL coming out of pocket monthly to keep us running (Thanks Rex!).

Before this month, businesses could post in the BST forum. Due to "the increased traffice in this forum" they could not any longer.

I agree though, but perhaps a smaller fee than what is required to have an ad.

John - We currently HAVE reduced rates for "specialized" advertising arrangements. These just don't get as much promotion (for obvious reasons).

I don't like the idea of a vendor feedback forum because it's going to be 90% complaints and 10% praise. Nobody likes to talk about the good stuff, only the bad.

Also, jake, u said the lower left hand NICO menu is worthless. I disagree....I use it quite often, and I KNOW other members do too, because I've gotten numerous complaints when the list is not accurate with the forums (we changed the forums and didn't change that menu right away).

jdmfreak - The Ring was a forum wherein members could talk smack, verbally abuse each other, and generally get away with much more chaos and mayhem than is tolerated on the main forums.

Problem was, some of us were better at it than others, and those who weren't got all upset and took it way too personally... Basically it was like the guy who gets his arse kicked in a bar fight going home and getting a gun - pretty pathetic.

Anyhow, it was way too divisive for our little forum and we eliminated it. Another interesting lesson in the history of NICO.

1. Whats wrong with having a big mouth.. (don't even try to say something preverted or i'll kick your arse)

2. Some people just need to deal with it and move on.. They can't bring a virtual gun and shot anyone on here. yet...

3. Live chat room.. Not a fourm. A place where we can throw out ideas and discuss it. I mean there can be multiple topics or just one larger BS room. But I still like the idea. Maybe I should post that as a thread, with a poll and see what the results are... Kewl with you Greg...
