Is the price you pay when going with larger calipers. Another route you can go, if you really like your wheels and maybe save some money will be to buy another full used set of rims. Get the fronts in an offset that will workand use those, then combine both leftovers of both sets into one and sell to somebody else. Thats will only work if that rim is available with an offset that high....

BTW, you can get 20mm spacers that offset the holes and have studs so you can bolt it to your standard lug hubs.

Thank you sooo very much for that post. I have been trying to tell people that for months. People see that Rota wheel picture and they get all uppity and so sure of themselves that they are such terrible wheels, when, depending on what you hit, no wheel will withstand the hit that that wheel took.

WHOOOO WHOOO WHOOO There!! Sportmax is another story but Rota's are Fine!

John Shepherd Runs 7.70@191mph and he rolls with rota's but he does use Volks sometimes... And im damn sure he can buy a more expensive wheel than that! to you

How are you gonna tell me they dont look the same

Come on the center cap is different.

J/K other than the center cap, the wheels seem to be to look identical. These people are just wasting their money on the real wheels so they can say that they have them. Some people just have to one up others to feel cool. Personally, I like the D2's.

If you like the wheels, keep them and just space them out. I don't know what NICO members' problem is against wheels that have good fitment (somebody said flares with an +35 8J with a 20mm spacer wtf) but having those guys be the "OGs" of NICO makes the site look like a bunch of idiot rednecks.

You an idiot.. After you own a car and than can afford wheels , THAN you can talk but before that Stut the Fuk up..

And why the Fuk would i save up 3k for just WORK wheels on an mr2? I would deff. spend 3k if it was a nice car... But c'mon think before you post.
dude you need to chill. sportmaxx and rotas are the epitome of cheap wheels. Everyone knows this stop playing devils advocate. Yes im sure they work fine as a well, but you can get lighter better quality wheels. Rotas are nothing special and for what you get i would rather not spend money on rotas. Save a month or two more and get something hot like grams or volks and as an added bonus to the sex factor your unsprung weight will take a nice dip as well.

jdmwill had a sportmax 962 that drifted 50 mph into a curb at an event. ts Ibent and the lip broke, but the spokes are fine, and it still holds air.

just put 25mm spacers all around. It will make the wheels sit somewhat flush.

1x8 + 35 is pretty weak

Why is everybody so obbsessed with the "super low offset" or "super negative camber" thing. Get over it already.

well, my comment earlier about the 25mm spacers and massive camber were/are completely facetious.

secondly, sunken wheels with high positive offsets look horrible on any car, period. some do take things a little far though. i would personally not have more than 1.5 degrees of camber on any serious performance oriented car. but thats just me...

Oh, it wasn't directed towards you, I was just skimming the thread and didn't even see your post I don't think. Pretty much just a general statement. But yeah, 1.5 deg would be about my limit if I wanted a track/performance car.

made a quick fix. 5mm spacers with my original wheels i got for my car. 15x6 with some horrible offset, but they work, and i can drive it. now to find something good.
