Went out to the big local car meet tonight. I was cruising around looking for a spot, and I saw a really yellow S13 hatch, and parked next to it.. figured an orange s13 hatch next to a yellow one might look pretty cool. Of course, I didn't have a camera with me. The hood of the yellow one was up. While I was walking to it, I thought, "Doesn't look usual.. must be a KA-T or an SR." When I got in front of it, I was really confused. It definitely wasn't the usual KA-T or SR, but it certainly had a HUGE turbo! I remembered seeing a link to an Auto Trader ad for a yellow, rotary-powered s13 in South Florida, and realized I was standing in front of it!

I was waiting around to talk to the owner, but when I looked away for a minute, the car left. Talking to a few other people, I found out that it's a motor from an RX-7 Turbo II, and it runs in the 11s.

yea if i had a whole lot more money, i might try to find an FD. But after i buy it i would have to park it and drive it like twice a month or sumthin, just because i wouldn't want to have something go wrong with it. FD rx7's are so awesome tho. man what i would give to have one.

^ Dang son!! Rotaries are cool if you plan to rebuild it every 15k miles lol. Other than that they are junk if not built properly. Tuning has to be precise. Some rotary guys give up and drop a SR20DET. :chuckle:

i agree, so many people HATE that sound but i absolutely love that machine gun "brap" and the sound of a high revving rotary. hearing one pass you with a straight pipe at 7000+ rpm is a wonderful thing. only thing better is a ferrari getting down on the highway. beautiful.

Damn you beat me to it, I was gonna link to that S14

btw zenkiman, Subaru's seriously? They'd sound a lot better if you reconnected the forth spark plug wire thats for sure :lolling:

The best sounding cars are and always have been Italian:

Lancia Stratos
Lamborgini Miura
Ferrari 458 Italia
Alfa Romeo 8C

Well yeah a v10-v12 is going to sound like god coming down to earth and destroying all the Hondas....But lets be real i will never in this life or the next have any of those cars...

I was saying from the prospective of something i can passably own one day.

Ill leave this...
