The turbo is installed exactly the same as it was last time, however, this time we installed a massive transmission cooler with sensor and gauge in the car, in the upper portion of the STILLEN fascia. This lowered the operating temperature of the transmission between 120 (going 70 mph) and 180 (idle in traffic). The previous N/A operating temps of the transmission were between 180 and 220. Past 240 (which would occur under heavy boost in high outside temps), the transmission fluid started to boil and this is what ultimately caused the pressure sensor failure, that killed the first transmission.

So that is the big thing, protecting the transmission. Now for the boost. We installed a 4 psi spring in the wastegate purely for testing. If the transmission shows no signs of malfunction within our testing period, we will install a larger spring, and turn up the boost.

Now, for what Warner said. A common rule of thumb is for every psi of boost, it adds 10 hp. However, for you Warner, to call me on rules of thumb, would mean I would call you on your bishez for only pushing 7 psi out of your turbo, and claiming 100 hp increase. So you obviously know, the tune has just as much effect on the output power as the boost pressure does. At the 6 psi we ran the first time, we ran the stock computer. It made all the corrections, and ran the motor incredibly rich. Not the best for power. So, now we lower the boost to 4, however, Split Second has stepped in, and created a brand new piggy back type to the altima coupes all digital sensors/computers. So, in turn, with this computer, and the map programmed within, constitutes an almost identical increase in hp. Of course, a larger amount of boost has more potential to be harnessed into hp, without the proper tune however, it wont produce.

At any rate, my car is running good and strong. I will continue to post updates in this thread. Nice to see you guys still have an interest in the CVT Turbo

No idea yet. If I had to take a guess, I would say around the 5 second range.

Yes you can hear the blow off valve pretty well when the car shifts in the higher rpm range. Otherwise it is hard to hear it, just because blakes exhaust is so loud with no cats
