The type of the engine isn’t my point. I don't care if it's i4, v6, i6, v8, v10, v12, it's ALL about power. The V6 camaro is a Heavy car with a engine that's not super powerful. IF it had the V6 the 350z did it would be fast. Just having a v6 does not make a car fast, nor does having a v8, v10, etc. It's only about power/weight/traction. The 4.3 S10 isn’t bad, but it's not fast. It would run great against other trucks, and against v6 camros, but otherwise it's pretty weak. It's too heavy, and un-aerodynamic, and the gearing sucks. I've been into trucks longer than cars; I used to have a 97 KA Nissan truck.
A v6 Mustang runs about a 16.1, a v6 camaro runs just about what my car does, maybe a bit slower. I'm talking about 03 models; the older ones were a joke. V6 isnt bad, but when it’s in a Chassis that was made for a much more powerful v8 its not too good.
The V6 350z/g35 is around 280hp, the v6 camaro is 200hp, v6 mustang 190hp, seems like an 80hp difference to me. So what was your point about the 350z?
V6 Altima 5sp runs about the same as a v8 Mustang GT 5sp.
Just throwing out facts.. (What I feel are facts based of what I’ve seen, read, etc.)
