Um, no... I would mop the floor with a S12 in a B13 on a course.

Aside from your SER's quirks, you stepped up bigtime from a 200sx.

This thing needs to make it to a FATT once it's cleaned up.

If Dave does it, I promise to go with, although I'll be in an auto-trans TSX unless I pick up something else. My by-then pavement scraping (and probably still 4AT) Cressida with 6 degrees of rear negative camber will be mind-bogglingly unsafe on a circuit.

Didn't you have a Miata? Why not bring that?

If you all want to do a PDX or HPDE, I'd be game for that, but Friday At The Track doesn't hold my interest.

I need to get a damn roll-cage so I can go to FATT.

Very clean example of a b13, Dave. Looks like good fun

I have a post for my strange idle going on right now for two days and no one has answered it!

When I start it up, the idle goes up and down and up and down, then sorta stabilizes but keeps going up and down like that. Anyone have an idea?
It's not a missing vacuum hose and it's not loose wiring. I tested both ad infinitum. I have replaced the wires, plugs, cap and rotor and the issue is still there, but just more clear what it is doing to the RPMS. If I rev it hard and then let the engine decelerate, it will stumble into idle just before getting back to the same old idle situation again...

I have less than 12 gallons usable to me.

Also, I may have not wanted to get this car, but DAMN is it a blast to drive! The acceleration after 3K rpm is way better than the VG was! Too bad it would lose to the same driver in each.

New electrical demons surfaced, no longer getting it inspected tomorrow. That is all!
Don't i/c/e it or a exhibition of speed ticket might come your way.The sr's are quite fun, wait until you get into the corners, they handle surprisingly well.Quite a few people on here gave me chit for saying they handled well but with a maxima swaybar and strut tower braces they handle damn well. Also the motor's respond well to cams don't go huge though. You can build those top ends to handle 9k fairly easily as well.

I think this is what you are looking for. Tech questions don't belong in gen chat.

I didn't post it in Gen CHat. I posted it in the cemetery that is the Transverse SR forum.

Don't play my own game with me. You will lose.

Yeah it's called the gas pedal. When I feel idle and bored, I go out and hit that sucker and fly around corners. Also, women's clothing gets blown off.

I had the same problem. My IACV was clogged. I sprayed some carb cleaner into it while it was running. And after it ran for a few minutes it cleared up and idles fine now. Be worth a try.

lol

If it were the idle controller, the car would either not idle or idle very high. Plain and simple. This is erratic.

Well, I understand, but you don't own an SR, so the point is sort of moot.

Super glad that you picked this up, even despite the fender issues. It looks super choice. KEEP IT NICE!!! Your cars always seem to end up multi-colored after a few months :gapteeth:

Needs low and some period-correct wheels. Too bad my Black Racings are 4x100 and not x114.3

Can't wait to come see it in person.
The B-13's are 4x100. Not 4x114.3. The B-15's are 4x114.3

Well sheeeeyit. Dave, I've got some wheels/tires this car NEEDS, lol.

They're sitting in my garage with new rubber on them. 14x6.5 + 30 or something like that. They'd looks boss on a black car.

14's are worthless for street tires, the selection available for that size is garbage. Finding decent sizes in 15's is hard enough (where the only 225 worth getting is a RS3), but for 14's it's non-existant.

Yeah, I guess it depends on what you're trying to do.

I didn't have any trouble finding tires for those or for my new 15's, but I also wasn't looking for serious auto-x rubber.

I'm looking at some 14" Starsharks right now, so good to know about the rubber, but I just want something I can stretch the snot out of anyway, so I'm pretty flexible.

My serious auto-x rubber is very different than my street tires. My r-comps are on 13's and 14's (as you can get Hoosier A6's and Kumho V710's in a large selection of sizes), I'm just talking about normal everyday tires that I can also use for HPDE's and PDX's.

Clogged injectors / filter or weak fuel pressure?
