That is definitely fixable, Take off all the parts that are broken making it look TERRIBLE and then look at it, it wont look as bad believe me, Your lucky you didnt wreck the front at all, That should be fixable no problem, Go get the rear pulled out and then tell you dont care about the quarter panels too much as long as the tail lights and trunk line up, Then get rear over fenders and thatll be bad arse! then later get fitting wheels and front wide fenders and stuffs and slam it until you can only fit a quarter standing up under the frame rails! Glad to hear your allright

And yes everyone is crashing i did 4 days into the new year, and last friday night (saturday morning) my friend and i were driving in the mountains (him driving) he got understeer in a turn and we slid off the road and flipped and hit a tree, My side sustained all the damage from the roll over and i have pain everywhere still. it sucks

damn sucks to hear that man and glad you and your friend are alright

i don't like to push my car past 70 it feels like it's working too hard for no reason...but yea i would also ditch that. its really clean and all but rather get a new shell than fix that up with a risk it won't be the same. plus it'll be cheaper i think...well whatever you decide best wishes to you.

Sorry to hear about it man. Reminds me of the time I was being overly confident in the corners.

Good luck I'm pulling for you. Also, well written indeed. It looks fixable but it would require a frame puller IMO. (body shop only tool lol)

your sig makes me want an s13 now lol your s*** looks nice

im trying to think, how much money would i be able to make parting it out? I kinda wanna keep it and one day fix it and use it as a track car, but it would just take up space, and right now id rather part it out and use the money to get another 240 as a daily

this is what my daily is now, its an 01 maxima, my brothers car that hes not driving anymore, and obviously didnt take very well care of it lol

i call it two face since the passenger side is perfect, and the drivers side is messed up front to back on every part (even the leather on the drivers seat is all messed up, while the other seats are perfect)

i want to get that big dent ont he door out int he mean time so i can roll the window down all the way and i dont feel like im driving around a beat up car, but i cant figure out a way to get it out

Damn dude that sucks, I know the feeling, it is fixable, when i was hit the damage was very similar but to only one side.

Hope you figure out something.

In case you were wondering about my damage,

End result:

Gotta have faith man.

glad you're ok.

BTW: only cost me 200 to fix

^^That's why you spun. Sounds like a mix of driver error and bald tires.

Sorry to hear about your crash. Get a new car, it's only a 240sx.

almost exactly what happened to me,except I was in the country and I went through a barbed wire fence, through a field, and slammed into a poll.my rear tires were also bald due to the camber being off pretty bad.It was my first car and I was also 17 when totalled it.I wanted to keep it and fix it later on,but decided it was too much work.I loved the car,but it wasnt worth it.Now I have a nicer one and I baby the hell out of it.Im afraid to mess my new one up like I did my old one. Yours is fixable, but it will take some work. If you can find a shell then you should buy it and switch everything over.Thats the route I would take. Sorry to hear about your crash though.Even if you have to save for months on end, it'll be worth it and you'll be happy in the end

Yeah, the only thing is, i dont have any experience with the car sideways over 45 mph

when your going 80 and you have stuff to hit if you run off the road, your first reaction is to let off the gas so you dont hit anything going any faster than you already are. But even if i stayed on the gas, idk if i would have been able to keep it sliding and eventually straighten it out, because like i said, sliding at 80mph is wayyy different than sliding at 45

But either way, if i was expecting there to be a wet spot, i wouldnt have took the turn that fast to begin with, but during situations like that, its really rare that your natural reaction is correct when your going that fast , because its f***ing SCARY'

the damage looks like its fixable if i were to take off the trunk and bumper, and cut and weld QP's, but then look at this pic

that makes it look like it would be well over $1,000 to fix

but i have to go to a body shop and get an estimate, and then see how much i can find clean s14 shells for, and do the math in my head and see which one would be faster, cheaper, and easyer

Yeah I totally understand. It takes considerable practice to control a car at speeds like that. At least now you know what did it (from a driving perspective).

Do not fix that car. Just get a new one.

Im goin to the body shop tommarow

im gonna see how much he will charge me if i take care of the trunk bumper and tail lights, and then ill compare it to how much i can find cllean shells for

i see s14 shells anywhere between 2k and 3k, which for that much is rediculous

ouch man..may have to bite the bullet and grab a s13 cuz of your money situation.that damage can be fixed but it will not be cheep.

money is the biggest factor in these things. INS will total that in a heart beat.

yeah, my friend is like REALLY good family friends with this guy who has a body shop to the point where if he crashed his car he could take it there and he would fix it for free

im riding up there with him after school after his football practice and then were gonna see how much itl cost if i take care of the trunk and bumper and tail lights

its probably gonna be too much, but i still just wanna see how much it would be

then after i get the price, im gonna decide if i wanna get a new shell or not

youd be suprised at how much people want for s14 SHELLS these days that arent even that clean, and i cant even find a single s13 shell locally

Insurance company totals it. Take insurance company's check. Buy car back. Part car out for more than you bought it back for. Buy new 240.

There's a Green S14 in the U Pull it in Davie/ Ft Lauderdale.

The rear bumper was haning off of it, but don't remember if it was messed up.

You could cut the rear off that car and have it welded to your car.It seems that the damage didn't get to your shock towers.

But.... I don't know if U Pull it will:1- Have something to cute the rear of the car.2- Let you bring something to do it.

I did see some red car with the Firewall forward gone though. Call them up and ask.

HOLY CRAP...

you may as well start off by removing the bumper, all trunk lining and tail lights. that way when it gets to the body repair shop for them to straighten your frame, you have that 1-2 hrs of labor not included.

take more pix of the subfram with your camara via under the car and inside the trunk and rear deck lid(from from inside the trunk)

i took a few years of autobody and fabrication a long time ago, and learned a lot. You may be able to take a ROP Class or sign up for a local Adult School Class for Autobody and repair your car for just the cost of the parts with $0 labor costs to you.

update:i didnt read the entire post, so i guess i just echoed what others have said about removing parts...but deff look into a local Adult Class IF you HAVE to keep this car ;-)
