I don't think you could build anything reliable for 1k. You still have to think about clutch, exh mani, and tons of other stuff that will add up way more than that if u use decent parts. remember, u get what you pay for.

I had a VLSD, but it was Very inconsistent. I blame it not locking when I hoped that it would on totaling my first s13. all power went to one wheel in a switchback and spun me into a light pole at about 65. Lake rd owned my a**...

Whats the biggest differ in the kaaz 1.5 and 2way diff? Thats good advice on the car. It makes great sense what you say but as far as the money for the motor stuff....if it were you, would you spend the money for a ka-t or spend extra to start with a rb20?

KA-t or SR > rb20just my opinion...

I like displacement tho
