?

What exactly are you doing? I use the megasquirt wiring harness, known as a db37 harness, to connect all necessary wiring to the MS ecu. Check it here, not my thread but way more organized than me!

zerothread/164446

If that doesn't help, I would move on to a different approach, he did it the easy way. I have been working on getting a nissan CAS to work and read off MS2E for a while now so I can make the megasquirt more nissan parts only. Using EDIS can get old, I have had road debri move the vr sensor before and cause me to have 10* of timing all the time, that was a b****. I will have a machined sensor bracket from now on.

I was a gangsta and bought this: http://www.diyautotune.com/cat....html

Its so nicely labeled and everything.

Here is a DB37 pinout for a Neon (though I imagine its the same for everything coming out of the ECU)

And here is a guide on how to wire up MS for a turbo brick. It should also be the same. This isn't rocket science.

So, you need the pinout of a factory ca18det ecu or the one like above that r34 posted, the db37 harness?

The factory ECU pinout would be pointless. Just run wires from the db37 to wherever they need to go. Wiring my MS2 took me like, one hour.

That was my thought, I did the wires up via the printing and never had an issue either. My problems have arisen with edis every time, either a bad component or a weird extra signal occasionally from the missing tooth wheel.

I was reading up on CAS options again today, and I think the mnsne guys have a program that may read a 4 cylinder nissan cas now, but that particular program is ms1 only.

Yeah, MS1 has been CAS compatible for a while now.

So does that mean you don't have to use edis anymore and can use the stock Nissan components?

Sorry, I'm very new to this, but I've always been interested in Megasquirt and I'm still having issues with my fuel injection...

MS1 is compatible with the stock components. As of right now, MS2, is not compatible with the stock CAS.

Thanks. I really didn't want to mess with EDIS.

Make sure to solder any wires together, no mechanical crimps should be used in an auto harness unless you have the right ones to make parallel crimps. Best of luck! I am trying to get a missing tooth wheel for my cas to get ms2-e from wolf right now.
