Well apparently that bit Todd Davis in the a*s. His identity has been stolen 13 times and the company was fined $12 million in March by the Federal Trade Commission for deceptive advertising.

When reffering to LifeLock TV ads showing the truck with Davis's SS# on it, FTC Chairman, Jon Leibowitz had this to say about it...

- Someone in Albany, Georgia opened an AT&T/Cingular wireless account ($2,390)
- Someone opened a Verizon account in New York ($186)
- An account at Centerpoint Energy, a Texas utility ($122)
- Credit One Bank was owed ($573)
- Swiss Colony, a gift-basket company, was seeking ($312)
In addition to these amounts, Davis’s credit report showed five collection agencies were seeking other sums from accounts opened in his name
- Bay Area Credit ($265)
- Associated Credit Services ($207) & ($213)
- Enhanced Recovery Corporation ($250) & ($381)
I was shocked when I saw this ad, and wondered if anything would come of it in the future. I LMAOed so hard when I read this article.
