Ok so I just got my car back after the transmission incident. I have been driving my Probe in the mean time. I didn't realize how bad my MPG was until I started driving the 240 again. To recap, I have a redtop in my S14, I just changed the plugs, O2 sensor and I am showing an all good 55 code on the ECU. I am getting 13-15MPG and it is killing me. I am running the stock SMIC and stock boost. I have the 300ZX fuel filter and the Walbro fuel pump. I have an SAFC that I can hook up if I need to. Can someone help with my rich issues? Thanks, Alex.

Okay first brother, if your running a walbro you should install a FPR and FPG so you can see wht your pressure is and adjut it to whatever pressure you desire. I run 3 Bar for example. Then Hook Up your SAFC, get about 5 runs on a dyno with a wideband o2 reader and you should be able to get where you need to be...but wlabro and no FPR or FPG, is leaving you in the dark as to what your Fuel Pressure is

Thanks man, I don't know why I didn't think about the FPR. Gas prices are getting me to the point where I need to drive the PGT instead of the 240.

You all know that if you have the SAFC II you do not have to RECIRC, there is a DECEL air setting that can take care of all the backfireing and stalling associated with atmospheric applications...

he said his SAFC wasn't hooked up. i suggest you hook it up it could help alot. but i'm not sure as to why you are only getting 13 mpg......i'd suggest check your spark plug gaps and your timing.

God damn people, for the last time ...

Running atmospheric on the BOV can in no means create poor gas milage if it is operating correctly!

Hes right you know, and kuramaya, why would having a differant fuel pump change the fuel pressure the engine is running on, thats what the FPR is for, if it is working properly, it will let pressure blow by until the disired is reached, only problem is, when you switch the pressues on a factory FPR it doesnt always take well to it, they tend to go bad fast, and are prone to odd behavior, although I havent had any probs with mine, I am going to upgrade.
