been a long two weeks. of course the cherry picker breaking slowed everything down but luckily, no thanks to lowes and every where else not having the right wheel, and alot offff pushing the car, adjusting chain, pushing car adjusting chain. so on and so one i finnaly got the single slammer intoo its new home.

Image

The i reinstalled the center piece on my new strut tower bar

Image

Megan racing up front!

Image

Juran motorsports in the rear (note the pink mounts) japan only products ftw
got the set for a bill(thanks to carlos for the hook up feels like i'm finnaly getting paid back for all the advertising i've done for his shop and 50 billion ips stickers i've bought.

Image

Said bye bye to the old hatch today

Image

kind of depressing seeing it sitting there...atleast it had company, there was a white hatch still not checked in yet i'm raiding asap

Image

also got these picked up. 40$ plan on cutting them up and mounting them in some headlight buckets i picked up.

I'm kinda iffy on it but i figured for 40$ its worth it just to cut up some 250$ headlights

Image

thats it today, i'll have another small update tommorow as i get everything wrapped up.

I really neglected taking pics the past two weeks,so ill be sure to take plenty tommorow/

Well got some progress done yesterday hoping to be getting this thing running sometime this weekend as long as everything goes as planed.

bolted up the crossmember so i could start fitting the header, plugging everything up etc.

I'm happy with the fitment on it overall,it clears the steering knuckle decently.
only thing i dont like is it seems that i am going to have to shove it around to get the bottom right bolt on the second flange coming off the motor to go in.. O_o

Image

getting everything pluged back up,radiator in,intake back in.

Image

more pics of the wiring and topside,it looks a whole worlds diffrence from what it did before,i wish i had a before pic just for reference

Image

found this mowing yard so i made a makeshift heat shield...doubt it does much but it looks cool

Image

never thought id be soo glad to see this go back in the hole

Image

reinstalled the tow hook hanger :D

Image

Poped these pink guys on (thanks Scott P.)

Image

Installed an undented door.

Image

And some sticker love for the front window (put these on like last week never took a pic)

Image

all for right now might be a little more tonight

picked up that and the juran for the rear.

Ironicly the shop is a megan certified dealer(along with turbosmart awesome bovs sound sick great quality) however this strut tower bar came off an s15 in j land of all places

I didnt even know megan sold stuff in japan.

great guys tho been bsing with the owner (Carlos) and his son (Andrew) for a little over a year now. Every once in a while i get a hook up on something although i ususally pay the sticker price for everything. awesome seeing as how i do alot of advertising for them even though im not afiliated with the shop.

so here is my update for the night...didnt get much productive done.
I did however figure out my headlight situation. turns out i didnt even have to take out the dremel for this project.

after some prying with a flat head for about 20 minute i got the two halves pulled apart and got my prize

so ended up with these two useless pieces,no biggie i didnt want halos anyways.

Image

Image

And the prizes, projectors perfect for a retro fit

Image

And i got 12 of these nice little leds

Image

One of the headlight buckets for this useful stuff.

Image

My beat up pig lip hiding out.

Image

All for tonight might have a little more tommorow..however this wont really get rolling till friday. when i go get my paycheck i can buy extra fluids, wiring, all the switches i will need and some metal to mount the headlights in. hopefully this ''beast'' will move saturday if goes as planned or sunday if s*** happens.

So i had 2 hours to spend with the car today while my g/f was in school so i went ahead and installed all the suspension parts on the passenger side and put on the rear coilovers.

Like the way it all looks even though the orange clashes with all the blue.

Image

I also cracked open the other headlight today.. left them in the housing however so i can tell which is left and which is right seeing as how the cut offs should be diffrent per headlight.

Image

Really not 100% sure how i wanna go about mounting these. maybe a piece of plastic trimmed to fit the headlight bucket or a piece of metal i will figure it out friday at lowes or home depot whichever i stop at for wiring stuff.

well got an update car doesnt run yet but i'm finnaly close, will have here driving tommorow is what it is looking like.

Had some crazy starter/fuel pump issue hold me up....fuel pump wouldnt come on and starter wouldnt turn over.

Spent a good hour or two trying to figure out why. which the fuel pump didn't take but a second. one plug i didnt notice right under the fuse box wasnt pluged all the way in.
...the starter however still wouldnt kick off...so i checked wire after wire after plug and plug.
double checked and triple checked. I finnaly remembered i never pluged in the switch on the clutch pedal..../Facepalm

So I also had an unexpected update this week...my g/f accidently busted out my qaurter panel glass so i wound up having to replace it...

Excuse the crappy job but it doesnt leak and when i get the money im getting both sides put in professionally...

I am never removing one of those 1/4 glass peices myself again....i seriously stoped counting at like 4 hours worth of work and window not coming out (did it with a kitchen knife,a hair dryer, and a little razor blade).

Image

Image

Image

Image

Anyone know if i can get the weather striping that goes on the outside of the window separate? or is it "part" of the glass and not sold individualy?

Image

every bit of badging on this car is 180sx now...just needs an sr to be right ><
Image

even have 180sx side markers
Image

as the drivers side sits now.....needs alot of work..finnally settling in on some real paint now that i found a color i want that isnt readily availible out of a can...just needs a good bit of body work on this side to be worth it.

Image

thats it for today, I will have a first crank video tommorow and hopefully a first drive vid also.

As dead as this thread looks I've got an update
Starter went bad, got a new one
Got an r32 gts driver seat, thing is too damn comfy!
And she finally lives!

Going tommorow hopefully get her driving!

Also to anyone putting an s14 rear end intoo an s13 make sure to get the two bolts that go in too the subframe around the snout end, the s13 ones are too short and you will need s14 ones

yup it just does what it wants... i think mine is already shimmed though because it snatches too much way too easily

Either way not going back to welded. i like the vlsd better.

ALSO not really much of an update but my wiring harness and ecu got fried.

However i got an ecu, block with rod knock and rebuilt sohc head from an 89 with the hot cam

Already have two wiring harness found so i'm snagging both of them friday.

Will be relocating battery to trunk, swappping to electric fans, new water pump, replacing the old head, replacing header with stock manifold and a few other things over the next couple of weeks, trying to get her track ready in two months.
