When my kids were babies cars didn't have airbags and everybody just put the kids in the front seat. It was a lot easier. I had to climb in the backseat of my '86 Camaro a few times to get the kids in and out of the seat. That is a tough maneuver.
Can't afford it unfortunately. That's why I was thinking another I30. Sad to down grade that much, but reliability is a ton better with the VQ30DE. Having an EGR system plagued with problems isn't such a great thing though...joe603 wrote:Get the 07+ sedan. I'll be selling mine in a year or so for some of the same reasons. Looking at the FX50...
I didn't have one either when I bought the G. Weird stuff happens when you're not expecting it.LuckyLuke wrote:I have no kid.. love my G..
You just jinxed yourself. One of your ex will call you with the news. Good luck in life!LuckyLuke wrote:I have no kid.. love my G..
1- Rear facing seats are safest in frontal crashes. If my son is front facing now, his head will fly forward on impact and his little shoulders and ribs will tall all of the impact force. When he is rear facing, his entire back absorbs the impact. I just read something saying that rear facing up to 4 years old has been shown to be safer. I'll probably keep him that way until he's 1.Poyzinous wrote:1-Get a front facing seat. or side facing2- If you want 23 mpg, try driving 135% highway, or reduce speed to 77mph and add 2psi to tires.3- By driving a wee bit slower, engine revs less, consumes less oil. Switch to slightly higher viscosity oil.4-Be more gentle with your door-opening action. And its like $455-Someone may have tried to break in. That could be why its busted. Sorry zozo. I hate economy cars. The only one I've been in recently that wasn't have bad was the Yaris. Rear suspension was super anemic, but that just means you keep light weight passengers back there. I think an older car that I can pay off would be better. Lower insurance and less of a hit when you need to make repairs.zozoka1212 wrote:Good choice Nate and good luck with the sale. Can I ask you why not just go with an entry level car? If I were you I would buy a brand new small car. Like Micra or the new Fiesta or Fit.
You get warranty for years and a good gasmilage.
Wife has the Celica. I'm commuting 100+ miles per day and taking my son with me 4 days a week.joe603 wrote:How many vehicles to you guys own? The way I did it was to get the wife a new small SUV, as she's the one who needs the room with the baby. I say new because newer vehicles are safer. As for my car, I'm usually traveling alone to work, so I just needed to have the capability to put the baby in on occasion.
Of course my situation might be different...my wife does not need to work so we don't need to have intricate pick up schedules for day care.

thats an easy fix just do thisSentientbydesign wrote:4) Driver's door handle broke from the inside out. Still need to disassemble the door to fix this.
I'm poor. I can't afford a $40k car...fiveliterbeater wrote:dude just trade the car in for a G37 sedan; you get awesome gas mileage in that car. i drove a loaner G37 for a week and the performance vs. the mileage you get was amazing! plus its a dam sexy car!
I considered a Sedan, but it would throw my budget off. I only paid $22k out the door for my coupe, so my payments are "reasonable". Buying a $27k car out the door and adding 2 more years to my loan term isn't really a great idea.fiveliterbeater wrote:ok, these arent G37's, but dam they are still quick, comfortable and stylish for under 25k

...you get the idea, and there is nothing wrong with getting a used Infiniti, the warranty is great and it's already broken in for you
