Both Darius and myself were there.

It was cool too, the first run of the night was me and Darius, two RB25s lined up, but then he broke on that first run.

Would have been a cool video.

haha yeah it is a cool video for the first 2 seconds, then not so cool.

Dropped my driveshaft off hoping that I can get some big u-joints put on in place of the stock 240/Z32 joints. 1310's would be nice to have on there. Big enough to take the abuse and relatively easy to replace in case of a failure.

not too bad.

i ran 12.8 @ 118 on my old setup crawling off the line. spinning bad and countersteering it a bit i did like a 13.1 @ 118...

Yeah, I was pissed I didn't get to meet up with you guys.I was hoping you were gonna stay in town Saturday night for a little longer.

We have a big 4th of July party on the 30th, so I probably wouldn't be able to make it down to KC on the 29th. But I'll ask the old lady anyway.

The rear U-joint snapped. I had a local shop make the driveshaft using the Z32 slip yoke and u-joint with the old rear u-joint off of my 240 2-piece shaft. Probably not the best idea, but it was cheap and I figured I would break traction before I'd break a joint with all-season tires. The guy who is putting my new driveshaft together now said my old one was bowed and I'm wondering if that didn't contribute to the failure by fatiguing the joint in the first place.

Now I'm getting a GM rear U-joint (5-153X, which is a 1310 u-joint part number) and a bigger front u-joint with external snap rings so I can more readily replace them should they break again. I'm also considering running a driveshaft safety ring now. If that front joint would have failed and the front of my driveshaft hit the pavement, it could've gotten ugly in a hurry.

I believe Mazworx makes a nice safety loop for our cars.

Pics of the new rear u-joint!

you ever consider just doing a 1 piece along with rebuildable yokes? I mean I got one made for 240 at a local shop here. Has lasted through last years thrashing BPU with many trips to the local 1/4.

That is exactly what is currently being made and I will definitely have pics of it tonight or tomorrow.
