Well, after a LONG 11 months, I think my life is finally about to slow down enough to let me get back into cars. I commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army this coming Thursday. :mike It's been a long road. After a broken leg, 33 miles of ruck marches and over 30 miles of running it's about time.

I'm currently looking around for an F50 Q45, probably will be a 2002-2003. Looking for one with around 100,000 miles and in the neighborhood of $9,000-$11,000. Depending on condition, my first work will be on the audio system. Trying to figure out how I will integrate a headunit\carputer while retaining control of the climate system is giving me a headache...

In a few months we'll be looking for a QX56 for the wife to replace our nearly dead GMC Jimmy.

WELCOME BACK, CHOPSTER.
Main things I'm tracking on are:
  • Front seat rocking (2002s)
  • TCM reprogramming (2002s)
  • Oil consumption
  • Ballast issues
Anything else I should be aware of?

Yeah, and the usual old-luxury-car stuff (suspension, those awesome headlights, etc) that sneak up and consume a couple grand a year. Some VKs suffer from mysterious engine death, but I'm not sure if its related to oil consumption.

And if you're looking at those, don't forget the bada** M45, but those might be a bit small in the back for a family man.

Sorta. My wife and daughter are there, but we're moving down to beautiful Fort Gordon in a few weeks. Augusta golf, here I come! Daughter's doing wonderful. She's a handful for her mother, but an absolute blast.

Oh God... I'll definitely be around longer. Easier to be active when you actually own Nissan or Infiniti products...

Go to General Chat. Hit F5 all day. Nissan not required.

Chopp!!!

Hey, man! Glad to hear you're doing good and about to return to a somewhat normal (military) life. Sorry to hear about the broken leg, though. That had to suck.

Head up Illinois way in December/January if you're not deployed anywhere and come say hi to the family.

Good to have ya back, brotha!
