Do you guys keep all the gears in your car? Our team only keeps 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears (out of the six speed) so top end speed is limited to 80 or 90 mph.

From what they said we do. the top speed for our car is limited by the areo package. the HP is limited by a super small restrictor so the car only has like 90HP. the older ones supposedly top out around 150, which is damn crazy in a sub 500lb car. If things go right, im going to be incharge of engine rebuilding and tuning. there isnt that much i can do that will greatly help the performance because of that small restrictor, but i would love to see a fully built motor with quad throttle bodies, and our exhuast. that thing would be a beast.

uh, the ITR is prolly not turbo'd, its lighter, and geared differently. there for....no turbo lag, quicker and its hp/lb ratio is alittle better, and its got a close ratio gear box allowing it to pick up speed faster, while lowering the top end. two totally different classes of car. and im sure the GT-R is stock and the ITR is race prepped. not a fair race.

2 totally different classes yes, but I bet most people at that race were betting on the Skyline to win and were surprised by the Integra winning, thats what makes it fun. Think about it, watching races wouldnt be any fun at all if everyone had the exact same car that went the same speed. Everyone has an opinion, just because you dont like Hondas dosent mean their bad cars, thats why its an opinion.

I never said i didnt like hondas, just saying the ITR had a little bit of an advantage. I would love to have a DC2 ITR. very sharp looking car with great handling and performance. and what about Trans Am races, where one type of car is used. they are all pretty much the same and go the same speed, yet its still fun to watch to see which driver is better.
