Wow... Why did I sit through and read that? What a dumb arguement... I didn't bother to listen to the song and don't know why I'm posting.

I didn't like Hondas before I started driving, and still don't (with the exception of the S2000) I don't care if its a 6 second street legal Civic Sedan, I don't care for them.

That said, there are some Nissans I don't like, along with every other car manufacturer there are cars that they produce I don't care for (with the exception of the Kias mentioned earlier, I hate all of them)

But mickee, if you get a 11 second SOHC Civic I would still prefer Zero-S's 13 second KA-T (not saying that either of you would reach these times, or not saying either of you wouldn't exceed them), even though an 11 second car would be fun as **** to drive.

I just don't like the styling of Hondas, except the newer Preludes and the S2000s... However, if you run a fast Honda, I'll give respect where respect is due.

I wouldnt blame you....

and that last comment.... thats all i want to hear.. thanks.... maybe some of my arguments were weak... it jsut it irks me that some people are being bashed because of the ricers....

ITR VS GTR R32.. Skylines are nice cars, but aren't the "end all" of all cars. Sorry.

That song was made as a joke, so some of you guys need to lighten up.

i couldnt see the video, but let me guess its a drag race, whoopty-fricken-doo. Drag-racing (aka. Smashing the gas and going in a strait line) isnt the best "thermomiter" of a cars over all performance package. GT-Rs can pretty much do everything very well (except drifting, they have too much damn grip) stock right out of the factory. I'd like to see a car that can do all that a GT-R can for the same price and still seat 4 people and have a trunk big enought to fit the groceries.

I was reading the thread, and i'm not too sure where mickee got the idea that anyone wants to make their 240's fast. Who cares about straight line speed. Big deal, you can shift and it shows you've invested tons of money into your car! oooh!

Besides that, mickee, think about where you're defending honda at. A nissan forum. yeah.

That video I posted was not a drag race. It was an ITR being chased by an R32 on a road course. through all the turns the ITR kept pulling away, the GTR only caught up during the straights, it never passed up the ITR.

I don't know why you can't download, it works for me..

uh, the ITR is prolly not turbo'd, its lighter, and geared differently. there for....no turbo lag, quicker and its hp/lb ratio is alittle better, and its got a close ratio gear box allowing it to pick up speed faster, while lowering the top end. two totally different classes of car. and im sure the GT-R is stock and the ITR is race prepped. not a fair race.

Well, like I said before, CRX's will always be ugly, but sure, there are some fast ones. Anycar can be fast and made to out perform a Corvette, it all has to do with money. If I had the money I could have a pinto that would be faster then anything on these boards. Moneys will own any car out there.

I'm actually looking to buy a Honda. I looked at her today, and damn she's sweet. An '03 Honda Foreman Rubicon 4x4 ; ) 500cc's of pure Honda power with a full auto transmission able to be switch to electronic controlled 5 speed. Able to switch between 2 and 4 wheel drive. Oh yeah, it was nice.

Our Formula SAE car is powered by a CBR600 motor. without the aero package it tops out at around 130 with a small restrictor.

About the skyline VS ITR race.

"the skyline had AP Racing 6 pot brakes and a full cage.Greddy turbo upgrade and fully built bottom end.also, it has tein sus and race tires. the gtr was the old (GTR32) "Greddy" car from japan...right hand drive

I had mugen header, mugen exhaust, aem intake and lowering springs and autopower 4pt bar.stock blown shocks and r4 pads, old stock rotors.bfg race tires...thats it."

this is directly from the driver and owner of the ITR that was racing the skyline.

Im i the only one who finds that incredly unbelivable? I know the ITR is a great car, but for christ sake, against a race preped GT-R? Sheer common sense would tell you that either the skyine didnt have what the ITR owner claimed (and the ITR had alot more than claimed), had severe mechanicle problems, or its driver was a 16 year old driving for the first time. Show me where you got this quote anyway, i could be wrong (still wont change my opinion that the GT-R is the best all around package).

Do you guys keep all the gears in your car? Our team only keeps 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears (out of the six speed) so top end speed is limited to 80 or 90 mph.

This is his site about his races and his car.http://gwendolynn.portentinter....html

that quote about the info on both cars was through an instant message on honda-tech. i remembered a while back he posted that video of him, so i PM'ed him and asked what were the stats on both cars.

Ok you gave out some misleading information, the ITR has a FULLY BUILT JUN MOTOR and is riding on "prototype" TEIN RA coilovers, hardly what i would call "street trim". Of course a type R with over $25,000 worth of engine work on a near perfected FWD platform and race suspension is going to stay a little ahead of a GTR in the corners.http://gwendolynn.portentinter....html

EDIT: i got to give props to the ITR driver though, i watched the video, he shut out the GTR in the corners like a pro

That JUN setup is what he is running now. when he raced that skyline, all he had was what he said, i/h/e with a roll cage and springs. He blew his old motor, the one used in that race, and replaced it with a JUN crate motor.
