people excuse themselves with their drives in traffic and how much of a hassle it is to have a mt. That's BS! You guys wouldn't even be talking about it if deep down (although you'll never admit) you wish you had the 6mt. It is more sporty, more fun, and faster. If you were to race on a road course and moderately knew how to drive you would easily roast the cvt, because of faster acceleration and downshifting in corners and having the ablility to launch out of corners at peak hp. it really wouldn't even be a fair race. I understand why some decided on the cvt, but for the ones that play around with the cvt manual mode you must have went cvt because the dealership was fresh out of 6mts.
lol i completely agree! i used to drive all automatic cars and never learned until i wanted to buy this one. the dealership had to send my car from like 300 miles away and made me wait like two months. i even paid my friend to let me borrow his 67 bug and teach me how to drive stick lol. thats how much i wanted a stick. and i dont really mind driving in traffic. sure its a little more work but its like the same as those guys with black cars and how its a little extra work to keep it clean. lol i have a black car too. i dont know if that makes any sense lol

OK Warner, I'll qualify my statement... I am the only one that actually wanted the CVT from the beginning... everyone else are CVT posers.... ..lol

Ah Robert, we're all CVT buddies here, but I do know that you love your CVT. I've heard you praise the transmission many times! I'm glad you got what you wanted dude, but you know I'm a performance guy, and real performance does lye in the manual

honestly i am/was amazed witht he new technology of cvt. thats what made me decide on it. its new and different that other autos. and if you prefere shifting than by all means manual is for you. if you are amazed by new engineering and tech. cvt really satisfies that passion

No you're not the only one, I wanted the CVT from the start and that is what I got, and I love it. We really do get the best of both worlds, we can relax when we want and be sporty when we feel like. Its reminds me of a racing sequential transmission, I know its not the same thing but it is pretty cool. I also like the ability to downshift instead of riding my breaks, and that I can throw it in to manny mode and shift down and fly past people.

Also, I find it hilarious that some of you come in here trying to spout your opinions as 'plain and simple' fact. As for us trying to validate our choice with others, isn't that what a forum is for? Also, its apparent in this thread the CVT guys aren't the only ones doing so.
