Yup. Selling the old Ford. For some reason I feel sad.

Towing. The shorty's are much easier to navigate around the cramped cities. And though I've never actually tried it I'm pretty sure you can fit a full piece of plywood in it.PoorManQ45 wrote:What's the point of a truck with a bed that can't completely contain a sheet of plywood?
Oh so you went to court?dusred wrote:Urabus GodofTraction wrote: Also, nice to see legal lights back on it.![]()
They're legal, pal. And they're on my new truck now.
Maybe he'll hit you up when his quota is low. And I do remember that you started out calling it a "ticket" and changed your tune.dusred wrote:If you remember right I just got a warning for them. "I'll give you a ticket next time I see you with them". Funny thing is is I drive past that cop several times a week and he's never bothered me again. Maybe he went and did some research?
I paid $3,500 but I bought it from my Uncle who was going to trade it in at a dealer when fuel prices were $5.00 for Diesel. I guess I could say my Uncle was very stupid and I happened to be at the right place at the right time with money. Luck? Maybe so.
It's fairly obvious mine and your tastes clash but that's cool. I think the wheels are awesome and the grille looks 100X better than the black plastic stock one that was in it. The push bar is meh but I don't have anything else to do with it and I'm not mounting the lights on my new truck.Urabus GodofTraction wrote: Other than the grill, the fender-bender push bar, and the wheels, I have a real soft spot for white F-250s.
Kenrik wrote:Wow that price seems super high considering it's not really in running shape and has 305k miles.
I hope you an get close to what you're asking.
My friend just sold his that had 320,000 and in non-running condition. It was a white long bed and the body wasn't in near as good of shape. it was also a 99. He got $9500 out of it. I expect to get around 8,000.Kenrik wrote:Wow that price seems super high considering it's not really in running shape and has 305k miles.

The ball joints are probably about due to get replaced. I took it to a mechanic a while back and he said they were tight but I know they haven't been done in over 100,000 miles. The front hubs are manual. I put a new fuel filter in it about 100 miles ago to see if that was the issue.FlatBlackIan wrote:How's the front end (ball joints, idler, pitman, arms, and all the tie rods?
Does it have the vacuum hub locks in the front, and are they still functional?
When was the last time it saw a new fuel filter?
Im looking at getting in to a bigger truck. Diesel is a must, although I would prefer a Duramax or a Cummins, they are really expensive. I wish I could get a Nissan Titan with a Cummins, that would be WIN. Especially if it had an Allison behind it.
Pretty close to the same thing, actually. Its a long bed 2001 F350 dually with 150,000 miles. It's a Lariat so it has a nicer interior. Exterior is also white (wonder where my nice mirrors and front end went?alms24sebring wrote: Whats the new whip anyways?
I'll do the same, but +1$Urabus GodofTraction wrote:Kenrik wrote:Wow that price seems super high considering it's not really in running shape and has 305k miles.

Agreed. That said, I'll give him a standing offer of what he paid for it, travel considerations negotiable.
Dattebayo wrote:It's probably the suspension and body that's he's worried about falling apart.
You ever owned one of these trucks?Dattebayo wrote:Don't give me that squinty look. 200K on any car or truck is going to have suspension issues, and yours has 300K... And if you can't trust it, why are you selling it for so much?
You are surprisingly short on details as to why you deem it so untrustworthy, so why wouldn't we start making guesses?
No, but he has had one stolen! That makes him an expert!dusred wrote: You ever sold a vehicle? Start high work down.
Every truck would be better with a cummins in it!FlatBlackIan wrote:Im looking at getting in to a bigger truck.
