But, check this out: My boss told me that he's gonna lay off a few people "temporarily" if things get bad over the next few months, and it's OK because we will be allowed to apply for unemployment. I informed him that unemployment waits are around 3-6 weeks on average around the country and his boss honestly didn't know that. Now they are putting together a minimum-daily-pay plan for holding employees on-call if they can't find them local work. I have changed company policy and I am a hero. Now where's my f***ing raise?
