i almost died at the last wedding i went to. when it was time to toss the garter thingy, all the single guys were forced to attempt to catch it, all 3 of us (actually we were all friends of the groom that came from out of state for this thing). we looked so pathetic so all the little boys came up too, i don't think any of them were taller than my waist. so they toss this thing and it lands perfectly on top of my left shoulder. i freaked out, did the harlem shake and let the kids fight over it.

I HATE weddings. Oh sweet zombie jesus in a Ferrari I hate weddings. Horrible, terrible, evil, twisted. Abomination. WHY? Why must I sit there as ceremonial garbage goes on.

I have a lot of cousins very close to my age. They get married one after the other after the other after the other on and on and on and on and on...AAAARRRGGGGG. I hate that I'm expected to suddenly treat random new people like long-lost family members. My family, even extended family, has always been very close. Random people I don't know are not close. They're random people. I don't like random people. Being married to a relative or close friend doesn't change anything. They're still random unproven people.

I feel about weddings the same thing I feel about a lot of traditional things:Ceremony, tradition, ect. are pointless and weaken the real humanity they are intended to emulate.

That may enter into my view of them as well. There's no drinking at weddings in my family.

Not even drinking can save them from my hatred, though.

It's not really anger. It's the kind of hate you wear with a smile. I hate a lot of stuff with a smile. It's not angry, it's...just a friendly passionate dislike. Hard to describe to people who aren't as cynical as I am. It's not red-faced, fist-pounding hate. It's "I'd rather be on fire" kind of hate.
