I will be packing up and moving my toolbox on Monday. I start Tuesday morning at 7 am. Goodbye 45 min commute, hello 10 min commute.

Yep

There are extra perks to. I will now be lead mechanic, this means Im in charge of the back shop. Im also switching to morning shift, which frees up my afternoons. Ive also been promised a raise.

Im cautiously optimistic about the whole deal (I dont like change). I will have to bust my *** a little more, but it will most likely be worth it.

I don't work for a big corporation. Just a non PE engineer working for a consulting firm. I'm lucky I get to use my vacation days...

My company is firing multiple people on the same day. Since they've fabricated reasons for letting us go, we don't get the benefit of a severance.

They unfortunately have their ducks in a row on me. My quality ratio is what they're using against me. But, I'm just gonna thumb my nose at them, move out to Illinois, and get a better job. The job I have right now is just a job, not something I really want to be stuck doing for a long time.
