Sick find. I kept narrowing the search and typing "240z" which wouldn't return that post because it has a space between 240 and z. If only I had the funds for that right now. Might contact the guy anyway and see if I can check it out. If it sat outside, I doubt it is as rust-free as I would like. If I do decide to do it, I don't care about anything but the body. I'll likely swap engine/trans and completely redo suspension and interior. If I buy a car like that, I plan on having it until I'm old and gray.danshaz82 wrote:adam,

Probably true. Might not hurt to go check it out. I'm tempted, but I really like immediate gratification. If I were to decide to work on an old z, I doubt the thing would even be drivable for at least 5 years after it is purchased. The amount of work that would be needed is substantial, and I don't have unlimited funds to hammer it all out right away. Tough call.danshaz82 wrote:well, it is a chicagoland car, so there probly is more rust that you would like

I think it's probably about a 20 minute drive for me. Probably worth at least a drive out. I wonder if the guy will let me take pictures. If so, I probably will and post them up here.danshaz82 wrote:might as well, it doesnt seem like its too far from you. cause it is in Indiana

Beautiful. That certainly helps and I appreciate it.AppleBonker wrote:Ryan, talked with my friend today about his former MR2. He had an MKI, so there are probably some differences. He said he swapped out the slave cylinder before realizing that the clutch needed to be replaced. But he sold the car before he got around to swapping the clutch. He said it was relatively easy to work on as he could get to everything in the bay easily enough. I don't think he did any other major work besides the slave, so I guess I can't give you much more help than that. But I'm sure he did the oil changes and such and maybe some very slight suspension/brake work (but that's pretty similar on all cars).
Well it all depends on the condition of the engine and how well the ECU was tuned, but I wouldn't go over 12psi on that engine.93coupe wrote:Razi, my man. You're always helpful when it comes to boost.
s15 sr20de converted to turbo. How safe is that while running stock block?
NP. If you have any more specific questions, I'll ask. Just keep in mind he had an '88 MKI so you'd have to check for similarities between the two.93coupe wrote:Beautiful. That certainly helps and I appreciate it.
