deng, when i first read this i thot it happened to u, good to hear u just got around em thoughnumbnuts240 wrote:i got to witness my first tire blowout last night. a little high speed swerving action and i was on my way. i was almost mad at myself for not stopping to help the person, but stopping would have pretty much guaranteed my car being hit with half a tire. i'm not interested in fixing effed paint and possible dents/fubar'd headlights.
It can work with discrete input codes, or it can scroll through. All of my tvs have had discrete codes, so I've never tried the scrolling method (IE, one button for input you push like 5 times repeatedly to get where you need to go).marlin29311 wrote:Played with the remote a bit last night - it's pretty damn awesome. I also have to figure out how to get the remote to change the input on my TV correctly, but in all honesty, I was playing Bad Company 2 while programming, so I might just have to figure out the input selector and how it works on my TV. The only thing I can't get to work is getting the TV to change inputs.
make sure you get some asparagus in your system beforehand.marlin29311 wrote:I was going to try that tonight.

thankfully it wasn't me. although somewhere between exit 8 and 9 everyone ahead of me was slamming on their brakes. i was confused as to why since there's nowhere for a cop to hide in that area. broken glass all over the highway. driving through that was a little disconcerting.RobPaulson wrote:deng, when i first read this i thot it happened to u, good to hear u just got around em though
I'm totally cool with it. Just bummed I didn't catch it as I was typing.numbnuts240 wrote:my maturity level is at an all time low these days. i was talking to the gf last night and she said "the situation". i chuckled and started fist pumping.

I just found a website that has the discrete codes for each individual input - how do you use them in the Harmony Software?AppleBonker wrote:It can work with discrete input codes, or it can scroll through. Yeah, my blu-ray and hd-dvd icons are the same. I'm more bummed that there isn't a good HTPC category. I have to set that as a "utility". Minor complaints like that are really all I can come up with.
just the ones that fancy my tickle.AppleBonker wrote:Tita, when you wake up, do you post in every thread that has new posts since the previous day?
yes it is.RobPaulson wrote:deer lake! i been there with scouts b4 ha, thats the big stocked lake where they have fishing derbies right?
Only problem that I am seeing is that Sharp doesn't have discrete input selections - I hit "Input" on my normal remote, and it opens up a selection list where I scroll up or down to get to the input requested.AppleBonker wrote:I've never put in my own codes. I meant that "HDMI 1" and "HDM1 2" have different remote buttons. I have, however, learned specific buttons from stock remotes.

YES!!!!!! we would always pack black clothes and play capture the flag across either the fields or on top of the cliffs where the chapel thing is. awesome memories.RobPaulson wrote:that game was crazy, we had it at night, we went all out, putting mud on our faces and s*** LOL, me and a few other of the older scouts worked our way to their base.

Good question. I dunno that logitech support will help you on it though, since it's been a while since the remote was purchased. If they don't let me know. I'll just pretend I bought a new bedroom tv and add it to my remote (since it's newer) and use support to figure out the workaround. Then I'll pass the info to you.marlin29311 wrote:Only problem that I am seeing is that Sharp doesn't have discrete input selections - I hit "Input" on my normal remote, and it opens up a selection list where I scroll up or down to get to the input requested.AppleBonker wrote:I've never put in my own codes. I saw online people posting the HEX to do it, but I might just have to enlist logitech support to get them to help me out here.
I only need to use 2 inputs - TV and INPUT6, as all my stuff runs through my receiver and that I can easliy change inputs discretely on. It's just the issue of changing from INPUT6 to TV.

That'd be cool. Let me know if that works, as I've never tried it. It would be awesome if the software allows it.marlin29311 wrote:I don't see why they wouldn't help out, but if it's the case, then I'll let you know.
I'm hoping I can just throw the HEX code in and call it a day.
