we are trying to move 472,928 threads without losing any information. PMs are VERY low on the list of priorities right now.

Me too! I just got redirected to one of those lame virus sites that tries to claim my computer is infected and it will install some "anti-virus" software to correct the issue. Flippin crashed FF cause I couldn't close that tab. Too many damn holes in FF security. I just want Chrome to give me persistent tab pinning and I'll be happy.

Fixing how? The windows version most of you are running is actually older than what is in the repositories on linux. So it stands to reason that pinning tabs will actually be lost on windows. That is, until future versions anyway. I'm assuming it's coming, but it's probably not one of the critical issues ATM.

Edit: I haven't checked the dev build, but it is most likely less stable and I don't feel like dealing with it right now. What version are the currently releasing for windows? I don't want to reboot to check. FWIW, my linux build is 5.0.342.7.

My mistake. And I'm not saying they'll be removed. But there was apparently something that cropped up between the build you are on and the build I am on. Not sure what issue they ran into, but I'm guessing it was easier at the time to release a version without pinned tabs than to fix the problem. I'm sure it'll be along eventually.

Also, I hope they get around to making them persistent. Since I haven't played with it much (I'm not often outside of linux), I don't think they were on windows (don't have a mac). If you pin a tab and close then re-open the browser, the pinned tab is gone, correct?

The geek talk has worn me out, so I'm going to bed. Night dill weeds.

Ant, before I go, I found this. I can't even pin a tab, so it wont do me much good, but you might want to look into it. Future updates might kill it, but it should at least work until then.

Actually, having never used a mac, that might not work. I'm not sure how shortcuts (or whatever they're called for you) work. Just a thought though.
